So much love to our dancers, poppers, breakers etc.. Seriously sects like ya'll within our scene are the spice to the meat and potatos of the music (and thatz not a knock on the music at all).
btw RAW = Great DJ cause he knew the theme of the nite and began shit with bboy breaks, fuggin' awesome. and Clutch is seirously one of the best djs in SoCal (dude was on point with the mixes and the tuneage, damn)!

But on the real, that was such a special night. I can't even begin to thank you guys. Clutch was awesome downstairs and up. Then RAW, well, what can I even say that you don't already know? Shit was tight.
The dancers make me so happy it's not even right. Such a gorgeous art form that is infused in our culture. Mad respect goes out to all the dancers, but to Preying Mantas in particular. Girl organized, promoted, and kept things in check, along with totally killing it with her moves. Does she get smoother every day?

last night was special  what a way to stir up the pot..there was a lot of "life" in that spot last night for shure big ups to blaze and preying mantas for gathering up the troops. it's good to know that the breaking / popping community feels comfortable in the dnb community to rep their craft..that's very important! all elements were represented last night! happy b-day to clutch too and i'll agree...homie held it down! and it was very refreshing to hear what raw played as well. he did exactly what a real, traditional dj should do. he catered towards the scope of the event, the environment and the people who attended. btw..anyone scope me out on the mic? that was fun as hell..i got to spit some lyrics i wrote last week saw lots of smiles last night. nights like that make me appreciate the "family" we have at respect. it's beyond dnb it's about friends. something like that takes time to build and it is to be respected on all levels and that's real. good show guys...jo-s |

seriously. definitely a family vibe in the place. saw alot of dancers i haven't seen in ages. didn't get to stick around to see the whole showcase (i tried, this fuckin sick thing is killing me) but seeing the circles was fucking awesome. alotta sick poppers coming out to rep.
great job manta and blaze, you worked hard and it shows. and goodshit respect for showcasing all sides of the drum and bass scene, from the bboys/bgirls to the funkier side of things, to the bang your head and kill your mother drum and bass and everything else in between. i had alotta fun.

Exactly. Last night was something special. Clutch puttin' in double duty was dope. He was on point all night and also I must say that R.A.W absolutely OWNZ. yay! Thank you guys so much for the great reviews and a big thanks to Respect for giving me the oportunity to do this, for trusting me, and being open-minded. I can not belive how many dope ass dancers showed up and were geting down to dnb!!
Honestly, this dance is what got me into this music and this culture and I just wanted to share that, in hopes of inspiring others the way I was inspired years ago.
To me thurs night was a perfect example of what LA dnb is all about... skills. And it served as nice reminder of why I still love this.

ERS 1 friggin killed it. It's too bad he played early downstairs cause I think a lot of people missed his set. Scratching and flinging doubles. His set was on point.
