haha...this ain't no high school musical LOL but that promo flyer for our show does make it look kind of like CATS or something..lol. :P Anyways just wanted to say Thank you so much for the continued support everyone... Sorry but I just came back from the dress rehearsal so I'm a little emotional right now, haha...it all came together really nicely, I'm so proud of the whole show. Everyone is soooooo amazing...this culture...is so amazing. I've given up so much for this opportunity...job (eek, feeling the financial pains lol), free time (damn i miss THE BEACH & just kickin it with the homies haha), INJURIES (inflamed spine from all the rolling around I've been doing for one of the pieces) etc...but at the same time there's been so much GAINED. Knowledge, learning other dance styles (breakin, housin, lockin), creativity, contributing to something larger than myself and seeing personal visions manifest into a reality..I could go on and on...but I got to sleep now cuz the shows tomorrow. :P Thanks again everyone for the support and hope to see some familiar and unfamiliar faces tomorrow. I promise you...you WILL leave inspired. My favorite parts of the show: the Underwater Film - dancing underwater looks really magical (think Whirlpool appliance commercials) The B-Boy Timeline piece that dances out the history of the dance. the Get Down Dolls, Cypher Poem, Cosmic Warfare pieces - ok, I'm a little biased b/c I'm in those. lol Lux Aeterna & Operaworks collaboration - experimental b-boying meets experimental opera singing.
