do we need more girls in our scene

it seems judging by some parties that there are to many guys at dnb parties and not enough ladies
it seems like there is a 3-1 guy to girl ratio at times, even more, which is not really good
so lets get more girlies into the scene

i think there is a small percentage of cute girls in our scene, overall we deffinetly need more girls in our scene
i think function helps our scene and brings many more faces that will end up being regulars

chicks, for the most part, don't like or care about good music. that's why when u ask them what kind of music they like 90% of them respond with "everything" and by "everything" they mean mainstream stuff because it requires the least amount of effort to listen to.

In Brasil, it's definitely not like that.
Down here partys are packed with girls.

And off course girlz do know the difference between bad and good music. But if you play 100% dark stuff, they're not going to be there for it .

to me, "everything" interprets to i can carry on a conversation about the greatest bands of all time AND hold a conversation with a guy on Drum & bass... this girl says F**K the mainstream, and to generalize the female race in assuming that we listen to music on the basis of "how easy it is to listen to" is a complete idiocy.

There are always more dudes than females at the parties i go to :/ but i love drum n bass so it doesn't really matter who is there. i am good as long as the speakers are blasting and the bass is hitting me haaard. see ya!

Not that I have a problem with sausage fests, but what about a reduced cover for the ladies? Or a "ladies in free before 10:30" clause? Or a "ladies drink free until 11:00" clause? Do these things actually work?

The girls that ARE in the drum n' bass scene are exceptional (in more ways than one ). It's hard to say what differentiates us from other girls. I also like the harder styles WAAAAYYYYY more than liquid...I only recently started coming around to liquid. But any hard genre of music is likely to draw more males than females...it's probably just a natural occurrance. If you want to be the minority picking up on the ladies, try going to an Ani di Franco concert You can bring a horse to water...

Good and bad are subjective terms. To each his or her own. One man's trash is another man's treasure...SOMEONE out there thinks it's good, even if it's not you.

And, trust, you ask a random guy, "What kind of music do you listen to?" you're just as likely to get the same answer. You're probably just used to asking more girls that question than guys.
