Question about----->http://www.sae-la.com/
This year I'll be going school for sure, for an awesome career that I'll really like, & I'll be sticking to it all the way through.
Does schooling at http://www.sae-la.com/ provide a steady career with medical benefits/retirement/401k/atleast good (preferably great) pay?
I'm confused. I need help please. |

Re: Question about----->http://www.sae-la.com/
"The U.S. Census Bureau has released data proving the substantial value of a degree in the United States. Workers 18 and over sporting bachelors degrees earn an average of $51,206 a year, while those with a high school diploma earn $27,915. But wait, there's more. Workers with an advanced degree make an average of $74,602, and those without a high school diploma average $18,734."

Re: Question about----->http://www.sae-la.com/
I'm currently attending SAE and it's a pretty good program, but if you want to go into the audio industry it doesn't matter if you have a degree or not. It's more who you know first off and then you make a name for yourself. Going to SAE or any other sound engineering school will help. They can help you get internships and jobs, but most jobs in the industry don't come with insurance and all that cushy stuff. Wether you have a degree or not you're still most likely going to start as an unpaid or low paid intern. |

Re: Question about----->http://www.sae-la.com/
I agree with B Phonic. No school can guarantee you a good job. I went to LARS and it was less than satisfactory. Their job placement was based on stuff I could find on craigslist? That's bull. Keep making music(all the information you will ever need is on the web), but find a career in a reliable field. |
