drumnbass @ coachella : LINEUP INSIDE

so i've heard a rumor through my coachella contacts (i program the coachooser) that there will be a drum'n'bass area at coachella.

they're still working on the lineup but it should be pretty rocking...

i don't know if there are any more tickets left anyway, but if you're already going then you'll have some dnb to listen to.

Theres always at least a little tent for DNB since it has phased out of the whole thing.. but if its in the Oasis tent that would actually bring the ol Coachella vibe back...

well i've been thinking about going since last fall, and it bummed me out that there was no dnb on the lineup but hearing that there will by may sway me to purchase 3 day passes and go. so in a sense, yes, the dnb could be my deciding factor. i already have tickets to see rage @ rtb in august, but there are ton of other bands that i would love to check out as well as some good dnb.

and fyi, they ALWAYS have tickets for sale @ the door (so the speak).

there are other tickets available as well through another vendor without being overpriced (3 day pass @ 265.00)

Shy FX KILLED it in that little dome last year. DOPE production and a crowd that was well up for it. Got to the point where you couldn't even get in it was so rammed. Hasn't been any dnb in the "oasis" tent since Marky and Roni Size back in 2005.

last year shy fx kept trying to redline the system and the sound guy kept turning down the mixer while shy fx was mixing... if only i had a picture of shy's face when the sound guy reached over his shoulder to turn down the mixer.... s**t would be priceless.

Roni seems to be that way all the time, production material is great performace wise.... very disapointing (MO). I think he is best when his boys bring in the standup and mix up the whole live set. Other then that, I have never had a memorable dj set moment at his shows. He aint no "D-D-Diet for MURDER" ya-did-i-mean?

funny.. I enjoyed his set with dynamite wayyyyy more than the whole group performing as reprazent. to each his own I guess.

anyone catch Lemon D and Dillinja the in 2003? THAT was the worst set i've seen. Poor guys killed a PA that was NOWHERE near enough for them. Just kept clipping then shutting off. Dillinja drank more than 1/2 of a 1.7L bottle of Jack Daniels and was out of his mind. Heard he tried to attack the accountant at settlement when they charged them back for use of the turntables.

in past years there has been "day of" tickets, and then there is always scalpers. Also, another potential way, bring a pair of bolt cutters. That fence is waaaay to big to have on lockdown.

people scalp them all the time.. you just have to go early and hang out.. Last year people actually had cardboard cut outs that said "Coachella tickets sold here"

although the polo field is massive, it has a fire department imposed capacity of 65,000 people. This is not because the field can only hold that many people, it is because the egresses can only safely allow for the emergency exit of that many people.

Saturday and Sunday tickets are sold out. Friday tickets are still available. 3 Day passes are sold out:

btw, they will still be selling tickets at the door every day (they're estimating actually getting 90,000 people per day)

3-day passes are available, if you don't mind a $30 service charge courtesy of monopoly called Ticketmaster.
