How old were you...

How old were you when you attended your first rave/massive or electronic dance music show?

We've all seen girls WAY too young dressed WAY too slutty, to be out and on one...
But what age is ok?

i know for damn sure i was waaay too young... but doesnt it breed a more informed and well rounded junglist?

or does it breed alcoholics / etc...?

But really that’s one of the major reasons why I can’t go to missives that have the lil ones there.. to young.. dressing slutty and rollin all over the ground gettin all dirty and scabbin there knees LOL

i admit i did drugs (chemical) too.. prolly started around 17.5

i dont like that i tried drugs to young.. But im glad i got it out of my system and i dont do it now that im an adult with responsibilities..

its just hard to look at... when you get older you see it diff yano? if it was my child id smack the s**t outta her lookin like that LOL

18, would've went earlier but just never was afforded the opportunity. Do I agree with girls that age dressing that way, not at all. But it's not my problem, it's her parents problem as to what she's wearing and where she's spending her evening. And I'm certainly not going to judge anyone, as I've had my moments, as we all have. I still enjoy raves, and have fun at massives, the spectacle is half the fun

I was 16 years old... Went to some warehouse party in Los Angeles... I think it was a Technostate event... Ron D. Core was playing there.. Did Nitrous Oxide for the first time... 1995 I believe... Good Times..

16 in 1996 ... and yeah, when we kicked it back then our issue was trying to wear 98 yards of cookie monster's hide in the form of pants not wearing 4 inches of spandex in the shape of a skirt or bedazzling our bras and trying to pass it off for clothing.

However I am sure we looked equally retarded.

I totally blame all those pajama parties, the almost better than sex parties, all of that bulls**t with strippers or ron jeremy etc. I think it is seriously WACK - it sends the wrong message.

lol, i was one of those young kids but one of the dope ones who knew how to handle their sh*t!

I grew up in Vegas very young, in the sick lil wherehouse underground scene we had poppin in 97 - 98 - 99 and so on....

i was 14 when i attended my first dnb/breaks/house/techno gathering! quite memorable. it was all about awol, gen x , radiant city collective, lotus mag, and liquid 303 records!!

Am i the only pervert that appreciates scantily clad little girls? im mean granted the 13 year old ones kinda weird me out, cause i catch myself looking, then see they're young ass faces and Im like AHHH! but damn, some of the "older" ones are like WHAT?! C'mon guys, you know you look.

And I still got a pair of jnco, kikwear, and GAT jeans pack away for memorabilia purposes.

Late bloomer here - 1999 on my 18th birthday I saw Plastikman/Richie Hawtin in Atlanta. It was a party by Pleazure and it was called Connected, named so because it was apparently linked up via video to several other events happening simultaneously around the country. Although, I had been turned onto the big labels like Metalheadz and Good Looking by my friendly neighborhood record store proprietor several years before I actually started going out. The majority of my misspent youth was occupied with crustpunk / grindcore / vegan / straightedge / hardcore type stuff.

but those days are long gone..

I think I was about 14 or 15... wasn't really an event that any of us take seriously now. I forget what it was called, they held them at the Family Fun Center every couple of friday nights in escondido. About a hundred people, maybe?

The maze they had at that place was great for gettin wasted...

The first serious event was Mardi Gras in feb of this year. I'm 22 now. Yeah, I know I don't get out much but I HATE driving and my buddies are flaky...

My 1st party was some lil outdoor thing in 94-95...i had on blue and white checkered polyester old man pants with an orange baby tee with a corrosion sign and it read "acid" across the front..i have the flyer somewhere in my room but i know it was called Futurama. My first massive was Circa 96 aka "get shot at by the cops and throw cars over parking garage walls" 96..the first massive that i got INTO was EDC 96 which was my big intro to drum and bass....once again, thankz pasquale...and about the slutty clothes thing...i say be who you are and wear what you want...i personally was shocked at the amount of ass n titties i saw at EDC but I was too busy enjoying the party to care too much about what everyone else was doing...

My first Rave...lol...I was a late bloomer to. It was 1998 I was 18 and it was at the Masterdome in San Bernadino! Dregen (Rick) took me.....crazy, small world. I don't think I remember the name but is was Christmas eve I think it was like "Merry x-mas" or "Jingle Bells" I'd don't remember...... Funny to think back, I danced so much I couldn't walk the next day! I haven't been sore like that for a long while! Had to be the drugs.......aww to be young and stupid again.

I was 14 in 1994 and I went to some underground warehouse party in downtown LA. I remember the entrance was through a multi-level parking lot. Once you paid your entrance fee, you hopped into a metallic looking elevator going down, and there was a cafe off to the right with a black and white checkered floor. There was a bathroom in the cafe. To the left was the entrance to the main dancefloor. Crazy dressed up candy kids were walking around all dressed up wearing raised platform boots, outrageous make-up, crazy clothes, and furry wings. I remember we came back to the same venue several times for various parties...always mad nos tanks in every other car. Prepartying in the lots was often the best part...always meeting crazy cats you'ld catch up with a couple hours later after everyone was on a good one, haha.... If anyone remembers the warehouse I am referring to, fill me in, haha...I didn't drive yet back then so I was always along for the ride

Oh yeah...and forgive me for saying so...but the wings these days gotta go.... People that wear them should pass a test first illustrating that they are aware of their time and space continuum. Some girls these days frolic around like a dog with an e-collar on (an E-collar is short for Elizabethan collar...aka the dome that a dog wears around it's neck when it has an injury or hotspots). A couple years ago at EDC, I was in line for the bathroom and a girl was passing through the line and accidentally hooked my hair on her stupid wings and kept walking. I guess I just had a bad experience, haha. But yeah...wings are dumb.

The party was called Candyland and it was in some ghetto ass loft in down town L
I remember everyone was in there twenties and they kept telling me I was soo young.
I was too young to be there but I am forever greatfull to the scene because it molded me into who I am today.

I was sperm in my dad's nutsack when I attended my first Kraftwerk, rave type show in europe sometime in the 70's... I then ventured into the underground disco/dance music and early hip hop scene while my mother was pregnant with me at a 1976 all night raveshow in Oakland featuring a Grandmaster Flash set from 2-8am. It's in my blood. Fun Times.

My earliest memory of attending an electronic music event would be October '96 when i Saw Chemical Brothers at the hollywood palladium! My Favorite show to this day is still Underworld in the Santa Monica Civic Center in 98!! I was 11 in 96 and 13 in 98. ive had been influenced with electronic music very early in my life, as an attempt from my parents to steer me away from the message hiphop was giving its kids at the current time :D

Dude Circa was my first massive too! Im pretty sure it was Circa 97 though. The infamous rave riot, I was 17 at that point. But then my first GOOD party was a an event that Moontribe and someone else through at Snow Valley Ski resort the following summer. I forget what it was called, but it was the first time I rolled. it was triperific and that when i officially got hooked

too damm young 89 was my first party hard ass techno and industrial. dont even remember the name i was in 8th grade. I can honestly say i been the the first of all the massives. Still remember latin underground used to rock the spot early 90's.

i was 16. first lil underground back in '93. i lost my couple of homies and just explored all night. was freaked out how some were dressed, and never bumped into my two cousins who were in a grooving crew called "Household" from south side san diego. i remember lots of ppl wearing mickey mouse gloves and pop-locking.
