I only know there's a good underground hiphop club where they have really good shows...
called PIPELINE... can't remember if it's on waikiki or honolulu
i'm pretty sure it's honolulu tho 
i saw GROOVE there, they were sick

Honolulu DnB/Electro stuff is ran by the Pacific Jungle Crew, they do a monthly out there... Any of the crew could point you in the right direction for events while you'll be out there. DJ Saya is really sweet and knowlegable, im sure she or any of the others could help you out.

Yep, Pipeline is in Honolulu. They have different nights/shows there. Usually a mainstream club, but they have hip-hop, trance, rock shows every so often.

Check out this site for some "rave" related events. I saw some for 80's and dnb in there.
As far as Kauai goes, good luck with finding anything good. Back in 04', I went to a weekly house night at wailers brew pub. The owner invited everyone at the club to an afterhours warehouse spot. Open bar and 420, very nice haha. Don't know if its still going on. You can also check out Kuhios which normally plays mainstream and sometimes has a side room(I heard house once). If you find some dnb, do share the review.

i was living in boston for 2 years, recently came back to cali, there is a lot going on there now, i mean enough that they had Shy Fx out for free last week, and Empress coming up. Also elements is their weekly thats been running for ages. Check out the elements dnb board |
