SAMURAI TO MOVE LOCATIONS AFTER 2+ YEARS...
...ok, in true Hollywood fashion...just when you think everythings back to normal...it gets turned on it's head! I won't go into details but basically it's time to leave Tokio and move to a new venue.
The new location is Nacional (exactly 1 Block West at 1645 Wilcox ave, just off Hollywood Blvd). The Nacional is a beautiful 2 storey spot with an intimate dancefloor, killer bar, a great roofless smoking patio plus a wicked mezzanine level and we'll be trucking in the PURE FILTH SOUNDSYSTEM to give it that extra ooomph!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all there as we embark on a new chapter and I can't wait to experience many more great nights of music together in the center of Hollyweird.
We enjoyed a great tenure at Tokio under the previous ownership and hosted some brilliant nights there, blessed with top local and international talent. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the last 2 plus years of Samurai and look forward to another great tenure at our new diggs.
Our Grand re-opening of SAMURAI is Sunday October 7th. As usual it will be free and I am committed to bringing the best talent available to this night...both known and unknown. See you on the dancefloor...

Werd! Thanks for keeping us all in the loop - it is much appreciated.
Tokio was a lot of good times, but looking forward to the new chapter of Samurai at Nacional! I'm sure it will be just as good if not better.

lotsa good memories at tokio, shame things had to be this way. samurai was always a blast and it was one of smog's many homes. I don't think any of us will forget that infamous NYE smog session. big up all the temple crew for your hard work keeping that night going, and i look forward to the rebirth.

Hell yeah Nacional is a tight spot. Love the rooftop area. Many great memories at Tokio but many also from Nacional with Therapy in all, but this only means that there are going to be many more memories and times.
