Lancaster is also a tough sell unless you are already a resident.

im originally from palmdale.. move out to OC like 7 years ago.. i know it will be a tough challenge to get things rollin out there but i would def like to see something finally pop off out there... i got alot of friends from there that im sure would attend..

MAC just mentioned this to me didnt think it was coming this soon or that it was gonna be a weekly. Is lancaster in the antelope valley?? Junglist are everywhere they just dont always know they're junglist, show 'em the way. good luck

Big up to Agez for trying to get this one up n running....I know that there's a handful of junglists that come down every week from that area to party with us here in LA, so I am sure they'd be happy to stay local once inna while...

i had many memorable nights at Hive's KJ so-cal . id say they did a awwsome job representing here in L.A.

First of all, I want to big up DJ Curious, Satin, Kid B, Rio, Sol one, Ellament, Delirious, Golgo 13, Aladdin, Remo, Donny, MC Agez, Don 36, Ari 'n Junglette for putting effort into the Jungle scene here in Palmdale, Lancaster, Antelope Valley area. Whom, in one time, lived here, or still lives here. People don't realize the great efforts we go through to support Jungle/D&B in the L.A. area. Big ups once again.

Thanks Formatt for your support! This one is going to be good. It's nice to FINALLY see good djs all come together and play in Lancaster, Cali. It's hard to get them to play out here and appreciate all that they do!

A little clarification about the history of Konkrete Jungle L.A.

The original KJLA was started by myself, Hive, Phoenix Orion and Noodles at Spaceland in March 1999. The first headliner was E-sassin if I remember correctly. A month later, Shaggy started helping us throw it every week. Residents MCs were Mikah 9, P.E.A.C.E. and Busdriver. The other resident DJs were edIT (then Conartist) and James Tai. We were weekly for over two years, and then got booted from Spaceland in late June 2001. We did one last party in July in an abandoned floor of the office building where Celestial Recordings was located. We stopped doing the club because "someone" literally destroyed the bathroom that night, costing Hive, Shag and I over $3,000 out of our own pockets. We felt pretty violated by that incident, and lost our mojo to keep throwing the party.

The killer thing about the original KJLA was the talent we booked. Pretty much every week it was something spectacular. The hip-hop room was generally out of control too. In fact, some of the most amazing rapping I've ever seen was in that back room.

It was like a year later when Phoenix Orion tried resurrecting KJLA in a venue off Crenshaw and Pico. I think it lasted a month or two before it died out.

the o.g. KJLA was probablly the illest jungle weekly to ever hit L.A.... (and they never overlooked L.A.'s og's in the jungle) Big Up.

On Kev's point, Ol Skool KJ that Daddy Kev and Hive did was my s**t!!! First dnb club i ever went to and some of the best talent ever (on the decks and the mic), not to mention Mear-One with the illest pieces he would create throughout the night (and Randy J selling records right there on the spot). The back aka "smoke room" had some of the best DJs spinning some of the best hip hop. I remember that last event and it was the event that made me want to become more active in drum n bass (i also remember leaving the event and going str8 to work on a Thurs.). I owe a grip to cats like Kev and Hive and Micah9 and Busdriver and everyone for all their efforts with ol skool KJ because it was exactly someone like me (a huge hip hop head before dnb) needed to see, that DnB could encompass folks who also encompassed hip hop and not just ravin' styles (my own personal thought on it). Shit man that was the only place i ever got to see SOURCE DIRECT play a classic set...

It lasted longer than that, more like 4 or 5 months.. At first Phoenix Orion had the same dj's playing every week. I loved the spot and knowing the potential behind the name Konkrete I decided to start booking local favorites and even some out-of-towners. Never attended an original KJLA party but from what I've heard nothing I did - or nothing in the future for that matter - will ever compare to the original.

Good luck on bringing it to Lancaster though. I know there's some crazy raver internet promoter named Andrew Lee who might be able to help out with promotions up there.

good luck ya'll, wish i was still living in the 661 id be all over this. Casa Roma is a small but dope venue, just don't park your car in the back, i had my car smashed into and had my sound sytem stolen along with all the other loose valuables in there.
