Bassrush Wednesdays Ending 10/31, Back To One Offs!
We know this is short notice, but due to a variety of reasons we've decided to make this Halloween celebration the last Bassrush Wednesday for a while. That's right, October 31st marks our last weekly event for the forseeable future. In short, we feel our weekly event has lost something over the past several months and we're taking this opportunity to re-focus our energy toward returning to producing Bassrush massives and larger one-off D&B events. Look for these larger events to return in full force in 2008 when we'll release full details about our first show in the new (but old) format. In the meantime, we're still going to close out 2007 with three remaining events: Aphrodite on Wednesday November 14th, J Majik & Baron on Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday November 21st) and Dieselboy, AK1200, Hive and more on New Year's Eve at Together As One. We hope you'll join us to close out the year at these holiday season events. In the meantime, get ready for a big 2008 in Los Angeles Drum & Bass and keep your eyes on bassrush.com for all the details!

I'm vaclempt. This truly sucks! Thought this was just a rumor.. Been noticing a shortening in that crowd Bassrush used to have. Guess Wednesdays it just not a strong enough a day for a massive like Bassrush. Go big or don't go at all - that's a good motto to live by. Can't wait for the remaining installments of 07! |

Thank you Bassrush boys for having me be a part of the Funktion weekly since the beginning. It has really helped me to re-establish myself on the west coast since moving from NY.
You do what you have to... I don't want to sit back and watch this historical weekly lose it's vibrancy either.
The incredible hard work and planning on the massives is showing through more than ever!
Once this word spreads (and it will VERY quickly); I think that tomorrow night will absolutely off the hinges!! |

damn this sux to hear!!! Bassrush wed. were the highlights of every week for me... I made sure my work and school schedule always revolved around funktion hahah no joke!...and to top it off I dont even live in LA, I live in Temecula...hour n half drive ez and it dint even mater to me coming home dead ass tired at 4:30 in the morning..i live and breath "QUALITY" dnb...sound wise, talent wise, venue wise...Funktion had it
thx bassrush for all the great memories!!! and i hope for a fast return!

I feel bad for the weekday warrior though.
i guess it will just make each bassrush bigger!! people that can't get out on a weekday will show up... people from out of town will show up, ex. |

Just hasn't been the same since Cinespace (IMHO).. A bit sad to hear this but if anything you guys deserve a break! That's some hard ass work throwing an event every week. Props to Bassrush for their dedictation.. I was at the first funktion along w many other die hard junglists, long live the dnb!! This won't be the end! Hope to have a blast tonight!! |

I made it to every Bassrush one off (even the first two old school techno ones), I only made it to one Bassrush weekly (damn being old and damn work).....but now, I shall be able to get back into drum and bass glory.
