MfDOOM LIpSynk? Yep
So as much as it sucks to have to do this, i just cant give him a free pass....Last night MfDoom and belive me it was Doom, took the stage and pulled sorry move on his fans, he busted a
milli vanilli(lip Synk) so there it is, we feel that so many people went and spent there money to see him spit live, not to mention when all was said and done we spent almost 15,000 to get him outhere for u guys on new years, so even if the rec labels get pissed at us, let it be we dont respect fake mc's here in La, other than that we hope u all had a goodtime Crs? killed it and spectr just so u all know was there from 7pm sunday till 1pm monday setting up, not to mention all the hours he spent creating the artwork much props to edris...

ya man - they were hiding something. thats why no one could be behind the stage. I was controlling the camera's from front of house, and my video guys couldnt even be on stage. I must have had nearly a hundred people come and yell at me to turn MF Doom's mic up - Im the video guy, what do I know about live sound? |

i cant believe that happened. Very sorry to hear your investment did that to you, what a shame. no respect for mr doom for charging that much and not living up to his agreement. I assume he didnt inform you guys of this?
sounds like a lawsuit to me.
aside from that i heard the show went off and was very well put together. im sure adris' artwork was nothing short of amazing.

no we were not told about this, probably because they knew we would never agree to that bulls**t, but we also felt something was not right when his manegement started clearing the stage, we found out just at the end of his set what was really going on, there was pressure to keep this on the downlow but FUCK THAT..if u hung out after his set u saw our mc nonstop call him out on it as well as the legends, now that was classic (here in the west coast we have real mc's this is what a mic sounds like) not much more can be said the truth hurts but it is what it is...We are glad all the hard work that was put into the show was noticed, thanks for all the positive voicemails and dont forget myspace/mfdoom let him know how u feel... |

^^honestly i just think he is just a bizzare fellow and almost to a fault really is the character he created. I mean he performs with a mask on, i heard he usually has "one turntable" and he will have his vinyl instrumentals, he will go put on a record instrumental and then rap, then take off the vinyl put on the next and so on. sometimes u are to bizzare for ur own good. that being said i can't deny how dope his production or how good, imo, his music is but hey thatz just me... ^^ |

Ive seen loads of cats these days lipsynch.
Theres a difference between mc's and entertainers.
As far as backup tracks go, thats ok, some cats need that and i dont fault that as long as there mic is plugged in and they are using it.
But to lipsynch is just some wack entertainer s**t.
Doesnt he wear a mask? How could lipsynch be possible if u can see his lips?

idk about this. if anything he is keeping a lot of unrecognized black artists from the past alive in the minds of todays youth with his sampling and his devoted fans who crate digg for the original tunes he (and/or Madlib) samples from. He can't help it that his audience may be mainly white *shrugs*. Also he is on an indie label so i dont' really see him as a "corporate shill". Also i don't know his situation personally but i'd have to assume the death of his brother affected him tremendously (i mean in KMD he was quite normal). All that said, no excuse for lip synchin'...none, but i still like his music and will support his music, but not live shows.
btw Milli Vanilli not only lp synch'd but they didn't even sing (or write) any of their songs, they were str8 puppets/faces. That is super lame, lip synchn' is lame too, but i can just choose to never go to a live show (which i do with a lot of artists who i feel can not put on a decent live show), but still his music is good. Hell i have see artists be too dunk on stage, forget words to their songs, just ramble on about nothing and just not show up.
anyways conclusion lip synchn' is wack, ya'll should sue to get ur money back! |

from what i get, hes a comic book geek that took the persona of dr doom into reality...and DOOM is a villian which would justify this shadyness in his mind...
its pretty whack to do that to fans...
