there is 0 exodus in LA...go to SF and see the exodus from dnb to dubstep (as in dnb heads leaving dnb altogether for dubstep [like they don't like or attend dnb events anymore for watever reason]). at the end of the day i think LA is more ruled by "is ur party fun or not". none of this music (dnb, dubstep, electro) are money makers (in terms of selling units) so if u throw a good party, build a buzz, get a cool mix of people, people will gravitate towards it. there will be a handful of hardcore heads that can name every tune or know every dj (and most of these people are other djs), but most people at dnb parties, electro events etc. (not djs) in LA go for the specific party atmosphere not necessarily cause they can't wait for such and such dj to drop such and such tune. few djs breakthru and have name recognition and rep's as individuals but mostly it is for the party atmosphere simply.
Be good at the music u do and then build a buzz then BA'AAM!!!!!!
