i stopped doin club flyers years ago but i'm a fulltime senior production artist / art director at an advertising firm where i handle post-theatrical marketing campaigns and dvd packaging design. some titles i worked on include:
davinci code
gridiron gang
spiderman 3
rambo
30 days of night
persepolis
etc...
those are sony (columbia) titles which is our main client. we do a lot of work for abc family...mall posters and such as well as disney. we have a pretty kick ass web team

whoever make the respect and bassrush flyers are some of the best work I've seen. hellvetica or something like that.
Aero is getting really good, the last timemachine (i think that what it was called....brain fart today) flyer was the bomb!
and whoever makes the dritydeeds party flyers does some ill s**t... oldschool rave look. supper clean.
but for the most part this board is full of dope designers with all diffrent styles |

SOLOMON BALDEO....is hands down one of the best designers around. He designed many of the Grapevinez flyers including both RIZE flyers. He is the designer for the Avalon Saturday night events and he is chief designer for TIMELESS, having done the first 2 and in the process for his 3rd for May 10th's TIMELESS event.
Not only is he an amazing designer, but he is the most friendly and easy people to work with. A true professional! |

the respect flyers are by gil from the evil 6... guy does amazing work.
I believe the teky bassrush flyers are by matt deco, but i could be trippin on a cloud. either way, the work is solid.
Hellvetica is an amazing designer as well, possibly the first " designer" i publicly remember on this board being admired for his work, the guy does amazing illustration and layout work as well.

and then when i first came out HELLVETICA (martin gee) made crazy s**t.
Realtalk...Gil makes art i cant even classify the flyers as just designs.
Just an idea here...at the end of the year or even some time sooner, Respect should blow up all the flyers (& his other work) and hold an art show for gil's.

see i was trippin on a cloud, weird how people piece things together in their mind. but yea two major oversights on the list are mesck and SkewFM.
Drew gave me my first major flyer, a half page fold for a rave in chicago titled winter wonderland. Still remember that gesture and say thanks for that faith man.
Mesk is just a bad bad man... some nice dark work. and clean type. |

Gil with platoon is THE man.
Helvetica is off the chains (haven't see any of his stuff in a while). But the databass designs have been a big influence on my stuff.
Phear aka False Visual is a straight artist.
Aero is dope. Been lucky to see some of his non dnb work.
but whoever does bassrush flyers is amazing! as far as being clean, sharp, and modern... untouchable. |

Phear aka False Visual is definitely my favorite designer in this scene. Always comin' through with beautiful imagery.
The homey, Derek Michael, is quite amazing, too. You guys should check out his past Droid Behavior flyers.
Post has been comin' through with the consistant freshness of 41DUB flyers, too. |

No disrespect to anyone on here...but imho...Steve (DJ Fury), EMIT & the rest of guys over @ the Firm straight run s**t across all mediums when it comes to electronica related designs, whether print or online...super crispy design work and ILL actionscript flash work on the online side.... |

Thanks for the listing, nice group to be amongst.
Hellvetica killed it from the beginning, inspiring most of us to do what we do today.
3vilSix is taking the Respect flyers to a great level.
Mesck's work has always been interesting to look at.
Aero's style has come along very pleasantly.
I've been holed up and haven't been paying much attention elsewhere but I'm sure some great work is being done.
Keep doing the damn thing. And for the record, it's now Staticka Design! New site coming soon.

There are a ton of talented people out there.
To try and judge art/design is like judging which fast food chain sells the best hamburger. It's all a matter of opinion & we all know everyone has one.
