Re: Which Junglists On Here Golf?

Tierra Rejada, out by Moorepark, has some sweet twilight deals for an A+ course, 55 midweek, cart and all. T R is an amazing course, its my fav in LA.

Westchester, a night course, out by LAX is great for golfing with out the heat. 12 bucks for walking, now thats the s**t.

I'm hitting up Rustic Canyon this week, which I hear is one of the best in CA, they have a midweek twilight for 29, cart and all; its a links course.

Of course the best part of golfing is all the 420 breaks you can handle.

Sierra Lakes in Fontana, nice course under 50. I have to concur...Golf in general is great therapy, especially on the range with the ipod on, listening to some liquid funk. Watch out for the squirrels.

Re: Which Junglists On Here Golf?

i stand in agreeance w/ mr. carlin.....

I know where we can build housing for the homeless: golf courses. Perfect: golf courses. Just what we need: plenty of good land in nice neighborhoods, land that is currently being wasted on a meaningless, mindless activity engaged in primarily by white, well-to-do male businessmen who use the game to get together to make deals to carve this country up a little finer among themselves.

I am getting tired, really getting tired of these golfing cocksuckers in their green pants and their yellow pants and their orange pants, and their precious little hats and their cute little golf carts.

It is time to reclaim the golf courses from the wealthy and turn them over to the homeless. Golf is an arrogant, elitist game and it takes up entirely too much room in this country.

It is an arrogant on its very design alone. Just the design of the game speaks of arrogance. Think of how big a golf course is. The ball is that f**king big! What do these pin-headed pricks need with all that land? There are 17,000 golf courses in America. They average over 150 acres a piece. That’s 3 million-plus acres; 4,820 square miles. You could build two Rhode Islands and a Delaware for the homeless on the land currently being wasted on this meaningless, mindless, arrogant, elitist, racist — there’s another thing: the only blacks you’ll find in country clubs are carrying trays — and a boring game. Boring game for boring people. Have you ever watched golf on television? It’s like watching flies f**k.

And a mindless game, mindless. Think of the intellect it must take to draw pleasure from this activity: hitting a ball with a crooked stick, and then walking after it! And then hitting it again! I say, “Pick it up asshole, you’re lucky you found the f**king thing. Put it in your pocket and go home, you’re a winner. You’re a winner — you found it!”

No, no chance of that happening. “Dorko” in the plaid knickers is going to hit it again and walk some more. Let these rich cocksuckers play miniature golf. Let him f**k with a windmill for an hour and a half or so, see if there’s really any skill among these people.

I know there are some people who play golf who don’t consider themselves rich. Fuck ‘em! And shame on them for engaging in an arrogant, elitist past time.

Re: Which Junglists On Here Golf?

Yea, I guess back in the day golf could have been considered a rich/elitist pass time. Back in the day a lot of things that we do now were considered rich/elitist in nature, such as cell phones, continental flying, nice clothes etc.

Golf is like a lot of other sports, its all about concentration, and hand eye coridnation. Basket ball is similar, putting a ball in a basket. Baseball is similar hitting a ball with a stick. My first thought on Golf was its a sport where you don't have to be in great shape, you dont have a lot of athletic ability to have fun.

The main thing that drew me to playing golf was getting outdoors. Living in LA is really hard to find something constructive that puts me outdoors. Golf is that constructive thing for me.

As far as all those golf courses taking up all that space for the homeless, I don't know. Are there more baseball fields than golf courses? Anyway we have downtown LA for the drugged out homeless.

Bottom line is golf is what you make it. Go out there with the homies, and the chronic, and have a good time while plotting to carve up the country for your self.

There are still people out there that think electronic music is nothing but pill popping homosexuals dancing to a redundant beat, SHAME on them for passing judgement on something they are completely in the wrong about.

There are still people out there that think golf is for the elitist, the rich, and dorkos wearing plaid pants. Shame on them for passing judgement on something they are completely in the wrong about.

Dont lump me into the same category as George Bush just because we both golf, and I wont do the same to you concerning the things you do in life.

Peace

Re: Which Junglists On Here Golf?

golf can also be a round of beers and joints on a skinny dirt par 3 course with no carts..but george carlin is a funny mofo. It would be nice to take back some land from elitist land owners.

Also, i feel that happy gilmore did for the driving range what peanut butter did for jelly. after that movie a bunch of my friends and i would go hit balls with a running approach.

Best line in happy gilmore.

Chubbs: Golf requires concentration and focus.

Happy Gilmore: Golf requires goofy pants and a fat ass. You should talk to my neighbor the accountant. Probably a great golfer. Huge ass.

Chubbs: I'll bet your neighbor the accountant doesn't have a shot at joining the pro tour, and winning the championships. Get that gold jacket like I never got.

Happy Gilmore: Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives a s**t?

Re: Which Junglists On Here Golf?

I play golf... I work at one of the top Golf Course Communities in the nation, and one of the top 100 gold courses in Cali... It's a private course called Lahontan up here in Tahoe.

I have a love hate relationship with the game. But my work pays the bills so I guess it's unconditional.

If anyone, I know, comes up to Tahoe, I'd definitly look into getting us a free round somewhere up here.

hint hint
we could even play some rekkids..... (dnb related)
