at th lakes? thats NOT big enuff after seeind what EDC brought. and really comming from a person that grew up in itvine (ducks and hides) i dont think Irvine is a good idea.. at all and i am very suprised irvine would allow it if they totally understood what it was all about.

I hope it is anywhere outside Irvine.. oh man

and yes i saw flyers at EDC for it too but it was on the way in and could not take a close look

if I remember correct, the Santa's village jujubeats was sponsored by Microsoft....

some of the rooms were also filmed live and broadcasted on the internet.

Santas village was off the hook. i remember that the DnB area was way to dirty tho.. it was like at the bottom of a dirt pile and all the kickwears were kicking dust all over the place.. i was soo dirty and could only hang for like 30 min.. but what a location MAN!

remember that they had you walk thru the train tracks on that kiddie ride to get to the main area? and by the end of the night people plowed all over that ride and the bushes were flat and no controll AHAHAH

or how the rides did not work and by the end of the night people got in them while others pushed em? lol

so i serched the venue and google maps gave me like 5 diff locations.. does anyone know which one it is? is it the golf course one?

Its not a good Spot, Its going to get canceled. I am sick of hearing all the haters hate. The scene is growing by the masses in OC. Shut the f**k up and swallow your pride and just except it. Shits going to be bangin. and grape ape is nothing like juju beats. It was a hip hop show that was called grape ape... there wasn't even a trance room. imagine a rave without a trance area (normaly the biggest room at a massive.) Not that im all about that s**t... but its a f**king rave. Just except that OC is a big part of the scene we have today. and have also contributed so much to the scene already. I see no wall. I just see opportunity... An untapped resource. you know what? f**k it. why dont we go to a rave with every one kicking dirt in the air instead of a grass field. that sounds way better.

give it a chance instead of shooting it down. Some of you people are so jaded that you dont even leave your house and sit there and just find s**t to bitch about. thinking of everything that can go wrong. im not saying anyone in particular but i know there is more then one of your f**kers on JS.

^^^ I live in OC, and this place hasnt done s**t for drum and bass or jungle. Most of the kids here got into somehow Via Aphrodite or Dieselboy not even that long ago.

Everything that was happening even in the year 2000 was happening in places like San Bernandino or Pomona and LA. The only record shops where freeclouds and Higher source.

There was a couple weak raves at Palace Park in Irvine where some stupid bitch ODed and died.

Ever since then the only thing worth something was Club Recon in Fullerton which isnt even really OC.

no for real though I don't like Orange County. There are plenty of cool heads who live there (boxmon included), but for the most part I don't like the area, the vibe or the people there.

Once again, most all of the heads who post on here and are from the OC are cool. It's all those other folks who live there who suck.

Well no matter where you go you're going to find some jackass to ruin it for everyone. I see sometimes comments like this reflect from when i was in highschool at a hardcore show and haters would hate on 18visions and throwdown just cuz the south county crowd sucked according to the IE..... personally now i see the kids who just got into it then in bands on MTV now..... so why is it a bad thing to see the masses grow?
I love when i see oc venues packed to the hilt with bass kiddies.

i grew up in irvine.. as did you shaun..i use to see you all the time when was as in Jr high.. walking up and down michaelson and i would think that you .. (weather if you agree with me or not) would respect my POV..even if you don't agree

and my simple statement was not that it would not be fun.. but i don't see how Irvine.. as a city NOT THE PROMOTION COMPANY would allow such an event on there soil. I mean common you cant even change the look of your house if you want. every 3rd house must look alike (well in university park)

if i came from the oc and i grew up a raver then duh thats where my roots are from...aint going to hate.. i use to stand up for OC every time it was bashed.. but if you did not know that then please do your homework (or acknowledge that i support the clubs)

Folks like Us (the Deeds), Toxic, Boxmon CLUB ADRENALINE Pawn, Steady, xenocide, kellyd, werd UPGRADE, MC DRE, Soundlaab and countless others involved (you know who you all are!) are always doing BIG things for Drum & bass music here in the OC & wherever they roam to spread the sound. You must live under a rock in the OC to not know this and make such a wack-ass statement.

Thats funny cos Goldie schooled me up on game when he came to irvine in 1995 or 96 to play @ Metropolis - he took the time to really sit down and get us up on game with the music, but I guess you werent here in OC yet, or you werent into D&B or something - again you're probably under a rock and only come out to post negative stuff on JS.
Also, wtf is wrong with Aphro or DSL?
nothing is wrong with them - they're both successful and because you aren't and you hate yourself - you hate on them. Because of this you cant progress and will never amount to a fraction of what these guys have done for D&B.
