MOONDROP PROCEED WITH CAUTION

I have something to say about this party and Im sorry to be a downer but it needs to be said!!!!



Im not trying to be rude but I suggest no one go on any indian res at this point.

For those that do not know I was brutaly beatin, robbed at gun point and pistol whipped recently on an indian reservation.

its their own soverign nation and they can do what ever they want to you. they will take advantage of you and will rob you and will go as far as shooting you in the f**king head.

Im sorry but this is something I feel really strongly about right now. You also cant sue them for any civil damages. The only thing you can do is put them in jail which after filing a police report your address to where you live would become public knowledge so now you got indians at your door shooting you in the face.

THIS IS A SET UP !!!!!!!

Idians have been inviting RAVERS/PARTY GOERS

To their reservations so that they can violate them and rob them on their own land.

This is no f**king joke Ill post the pictures tonight of how brutally asaulted I was.

I tried to take legal action in the matter and even talked with and consulted with the famous FREDDIE FOX and since they can not be sue for civil charges there was no case.

Evene if you worked at a casino!!! Since they have no civil responsibility if you hurt yourself on the job there isnt even any workmans comp provided your pretty much screwd.

THIS IS A SET UP!!!! The people throwing this party would say other wise but re-guardless they have no control of what idians on their own land can do to a bunch of kids f**ked up on drugs who are completely easy to take advantage of.

Im sorry i dont mean to be a downer but for your own safty stay the f**k away from this party I care about alot of you and those that know me know how brutaly beatin I was dont be another victum!!!

They know they can get away with this stuff without any consequence. I know moondrop is a long running party but you all need to PROTECT yourselves and not go.

This reservation is bigger and more spread out then the place I was beatin which makes it even more dangerous.

The very first stories I heared when I was growing up about people gettin beatin by idians was on this reservation. La Jolla Reservation some might say well its a different reservation. it doesnt matter they all live by the same rules.

They have no remorse and feel its their right to do what ever they want cause its their land. I dont know what kind of world these people live in to think its right to treat people like this but I suggest staying away.

Im sympathetic to your situation, but is this event being promoted by the individuals who assaulted you? I think your advice is heart felt and valid, but this seems to be an event with a track record. Are there reports of any problems at past events?

As a person who was held at gunpoint during nocturnal wonderland I dont really feel comfortable going certain places that I'm not invited, but I think it might be dangerous to condemn an event based on an unrelated incident.


But..., If this is affiliated with any individuals who assaulted you, or the area in which you were assaulted, then by all means, preach it to the world. Your experience will only serve to help people make their decisions.

So if the promoters of this show care anything about peoples safety they will put a stop to this cause you guys are going to get a lot of people hurt!!!!!! What you are gonna get is a bunch of drunk idians stumbling around your party doing what ever the f**k they want. What are you going to do stop them its their land they will beat you up to.

Yes there has been tons of problems on this reservation look it up there have been shootings beating killings robberies disapearences you name it its happend there. yes the party has a good track record but the reservation does not.

I have live next to La Jolla indian res my whole life. only reason I dont go there for any reason is I had some friends get beat up there like 8 years ago and they were just camping there.

Also, In my personal experiences growing up in New Mexico with a father who was a reservation dentist for the indian health service. I have nothing but amazing experiences to talk about. While the initial resentment of the no native exists, most of my experiences with pueblo tribe indians revolved around amazing love, generosity and culture. I understand your angry but it seems wrong to label a entire group of people.

Once again, I'm not discounting your personal experience, you feel the way you do for a reason. I'm merely offering another opinion based on my experience.

Besides that yes the indians have given the promoters of this show permission to throw a show on their land but its still their land. I dont think you guys understand how much they worship the words "THEIR LAND".

But even the promoters could be hurt. Say one of the promoters maybe not the main guy but lower on the totem pole smarts off to and indian hes gonna get hurt.

But I grew In oceanside my whole life!!!!!!

There have been shooting, killings, roberies, assaults and anything else you can think of Ive read about it seen it first hand and have heard tons of stories from close friends about this res. if you want look up its event history and see how many incidents have occoured there if you dont belive me.

Again Ill say I have no problems with the promoters but what people dont understand is the promoters not gonna have any control over a drunk indian beating up a friend of yours over a bottle of liqour or drugs.

Again sorry to bum you out but Im not changing the way i feel on this matter. I respect you lots man I really do. I just dont think its fair knowing what they are capable of to let people party there. Its a f**king liability to the scene re-guardless of what didnt happen last weekend. Think about what could happen. As far as cops on their land they cant do a dam thing trust me I talked to the cops when I went to file a report. They have no authority the only thing they can do is work on behalf of the idians protecting their land. Should two idians drag you away and beat the crap out of you the cops cant do s**t. Trust me I asked them when I went and filled out my police report. Besides that should the cops find out about 2 indians beating some one they are just going to lie to the cops and say you were being combative so they had to beat you. I dont think you actually understand the soverity of what they can acomplish.

They can be held with no legal ramifications and if you dont belive me ask an lawyer like I did FREDDIE FOX.

yes yes, i was there bruv. i saw some dude with an AK1200 (AK47!) shooting it in the air near the road, and a huge crowd of people running the opposite direction, even hopping out of their cars because everyone was stopped in traffic...

that was freakin' crazy.

From what Im being told this moondrop party is going to have poilice, EMTs and security.

But if you really belive the cops are there to protect you from the indians your nuts. The cops are there to bust for drugs.

A lot of homies on this bill (dope lineup!), be careful and hope everyone comes back safe and sound.

A lot of parties have gone off on indian reservations with no incident, but there is always a certain amount of risk whenever setting foot on the land of these sovereign nations.

Hrm wonder if the promoters are immune to civil charges to since this is on indian land??

That would be interesting to find out. It would deffinetly remove them from all liability I would belive.

I know alot of people I know are on this lineup and Ill tell ya risking your own safety just to play a show isnt worth it. I was to play records the night when I got beatin. The guys that beat me were family members of the indian whos house it was. So that shows you the level of respect they have for their own kind.

Im also not a guy that is easily threatened but:

I was almost KILLED when they beat and robbed me at gun point! If I wasnt as big and strong as I am and wasnt able to get up like I did so I could run for my life.

But im done with this thread people just think Im trying to attack the promoter or something or to be racist. So What ever!!

To those I care for stay safe!! Stay close to each other dont get lured away. If you have to go pee bring a friend. If your selling anything watch your back cause the indians are looking for someone to rob and they will justify it by saying well you deserved it for selling on our rez. And if your a febble raver be extra cafeful cause they prey on the disorientated ones.

Remember the cops that will be there are not there to protect you from the indians nothing can accept not dealing with it.

no offense to your experiences.. but if you mouth off to the wrong guy on vermont ave, or even hollywood blvd. you can get hurt , beaten, robbed and killed without any investigation or consequences. I have personally have had friends shot in the face in public in broad day light without any witnesses speaking up.. so the sad fact is this can and does happen anywhere..
and not to critisize your values, bit f someone beat and robbed me and I knew where they were and the cops(which I would never call) didn't do s**t. I would take "justice" or at the very least vengeance into my own hands...
I am not condoning violence but you are obviously suffering from trauma from your experience so either step up and handle yours or go seek professional help..
I have been to several indian reservation both with and without indians to show me about and I have never had problems.. so that being said s**t can go real bad real fats anywhere.. remember when the cholos in san bernardino came to the sport arena(masterdome for you new schooler) and locked up the whole place and robbed every single person inside the place?? I do.. s**t happens be careful no mater where yo go. I more worried about a bunch of drugged out kids driving raver a mile high on whatever kids take now.

^^^^ Piston I 100 percent agree with you be careful where ever you tread. And also I never mouthed off to them I was nothing but respectful to the people that beat me. When they robbed me I gave them everthing I had with no complications. i even told them I didnt want any trouble to just take everything and go and they still beat me. So this wasnt about me being an ass to some indians.

But ya I hear ya I should have taken justice into my own hands and it was suggested many times. Unfortunatly after consulting the Lawyer Freddie Fox who is an awesome guy by the way I was told to go file a police report. When I did me and Freddie Fox both found out we cant sue for civil damages.

So now having filed a report after being advised now my names all over the case to. So now if I go and hurt these guys they can come after me. So now having filed a report Im bound to not being able to do anything.

If I kill Mr. Indian whos names I gave to the cops dont you think they are gonna know I had motive.

But yes note to self if you wanna handle s**t ghetto then dont file a report. But if you plan to sue someone you kinda have to. Sucks but now I really cant do anything to get them back.

But yes tread softly where ever you go in the scene.

And I know theres more of you out there that remember the Nocturnal Wonderland where the idians had guns.

again I wasn't trying to downplay what happened to you as I think it really sucks.. but in your post you replied something about mouthing off to someone lower on the totem.. but anyways. I feel you.. I've been assed out in my search for justice on more than one occasion.. so I feel ya.. try to do the right thing and the bad guys win... our system isn't just.

and as a side note when you travel anywhere even europe try to be aware of the laws and the neighborhoods you roll threw... I almost got into some s**t in paris for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. I got real lucky to get out without a major issue...

MoonDrop will not be held in a house inside of there neighborhoods, as your event was. It is actually in a campground inside the reservation. There was several meetings held by the tribal council before permission was granted to have the event there. Several people that we know go camping at this reservation or just go up for the day to go tubing down the river.

God you guys keep making this into a racist thing and its not. If it was a soverign nation full of white people Id give same warning. My whole point is they dont have rules and dont have to abide by US law on their reservations. Which gives them ability to do what ever they want. Its like a MOB.

And for everyones information I did nothing to provoke the people that beat me up. I gave them everything I had willingly and then asked that they just take everything and leave. I made no violent movements towards them and I did not threaten them in anyway. They were just drunk happened to catch me by myself as I was going to the car to get my GF's coat. I was nothing but respectful to these guys all night and even shared my cigs with them. They had no reason to do what they did other then the fact they knew they could get away with it.

As I said the people that beat me were relatives of the person whos house the party was at. So it shows you the amount of respect they have for their own people and family memebers.

WTF do you think goes on at raves everyone eats cookies. And how are people f**ked on drugs suposed to distinguih between Natives and non natives. When you say "they" are you talking about the people who did this or the Native Americans in general? Honestly I can see how someone would consider this a racist thread.

Also since when does any music venue of this size encourage drug use? Where are you going to find any venue that permits drug use? Newsflash - its not just Native Americans who overall don't like drugs I'd say all of America as well. Point being - people selling/using drugs, etc. are going to run into problems anywhere.

But under US law you cant physically beat someone when catching them selling drugs. In a soverign land where us law goes out the door Natives can do what ever they want. You cant tell me there isnt a difference.

Why doesnt someone tell me why the big boy rave companies dont throw more raves on indian land anymore.

I mean it would seem to me the promoters would have no liability if someone got hurt right because the actual indian land cant be sued for civil damages.

Correct me if Im wrong but when big wig raves like EDC and Nocturnal do raves Im sure they PAY for liability insurance right should someone get hurt or OD.

Seems to me a promoter could get away with murder throwing shows where theres no liability involved. If someone gets hurt at moondrop you cant sue the reservation and you couldnt sue the promoter either.

I was told they had a show at this venue 2 weeks ago and nothing happened. But Im sure every promoter out there informs the community of the people that got hurt or the people that OD'd and then in the next breath invites them to the next party.

And unifire how else am I suposed to describe a group on soverign nation land other then they. Its not racist its a form of discription.

But there was a party there last weekend, .. with no incidents.

Yes it was a smaller scale, .. but still a large party as well.

This event is publicized in many of city publications, .. im sure the indians wouldnt want to go around doing something like that, especially in a situation that is putting them in the spot light.

Your situation is *alot* different, .. some underground with a spot donated by some dude who decided to pull dick and f**k you guys over and attack you is much different than an event that is widely publicized as this event.

That, and this is on their public camping grounds dude, .. me and my dad camp there ALL the time... I've been camping on these spots since I was a little kid.

People should know where they are going and what the customs and laws are in the land they tread in.

How many party goers out there know the laws on native land? Maybe this thread is a good indication that people need to educate themselves before deciding to go. I think most of the people would do that before going to a rave in mexico and thats all Im asking.

I think everyone going should educate themselves about where they are going before they go. I didnt know the laws when I was assaulted and had I known I probably never would have gone to the party I went to.

I for one know your intention was not racist. You just got out of a traumatic near death experience and don't want that to happen to any fellow partier. It's good you let people be warned about what could possibly happen so I wouldn't call this thread a failure in any sense

If this is the case you should tell aLL our friends not to go to Kadans anymore. Or AC Lounge. Or Red C Lounge, right in the middle of DownTown.( How many people got killed in DT??)
Remember how many people get killed a block away from the front door at Kadans. ( NO arest in any incedents yet.) Are the Clubs liable for that??
Or even more recently, how about when APX1 got jumped right out side, down the block.
I have been jumped by Indians in and outside their lands.
BUT, I have been blessed and Loved by many of them in and outside their lands.
The people from the Tribal Counsel that I deal with are not sheady and care about my well being and yours. If they did't I don't think I would be going to constant meetings through out the year. In preperations for this next week end. I know what its like to be jumped like that. But its not about Bad Indians. Its about bad people.
There is a lot of energy that flows from the tribes. And leaders of these tribes are just as concerned as we are. That is why we are obligated to have a certain number of security on hand. And will be backed up by th Tribal Police.
SO, if you really care that much about us.
Then come out and do security patrol. I will have a radio waithing for you.
Saturday night would be optimal for us to have you.

just for the record I AM MEXICAN/INDIAN and I WILL MAKE FUN OF MYSELF AS MUCH AS I WANT!!!!!!!
we are prone to heart disease,diabetes, high blood pressure,high cholesterol and many other things. i find it hilarious that there are proven statistics on this and yet when it comes down to it WE THE MEXICANS/INDIANS CAN MAKE MINDFUL CHOICES IN LIFE AND CAN PREVENT THAT OUTCOME IN LIFE. mind you i type this while eating an oatmeal cookie,iced mocha coffee and planning which alcoholic beverage would best suit my taste buds tomorrow night, red bull and vodka or long islands? point is dont be so dramatic it's just a thread. why does everyone take it so personal? if this happened to me i'd be saying the ish and so would you. what gabe went through is f**ked up and i think more people need to back him up and respect his CONCERNS. thats all they are.
