call me a hater, but i have been up here since 2004 and I havent seena good crazy night since dillinja and lemon came through in 05.

other than that i prefer to go on message boards and talk s**t about a local scene that I have no intentions of working within or doing stuff for. And this is not because I am some sort of elitist.

Raun. You're an idiot. In the past six months, Compression alone has had Goldie, SS and Tali, and the utterly f**king amazing World of DnB (about which Bryan Gee said on the radio that our soundsystem, and I quote, "was bigger than Valve.")

Now Compression's closed, and we won't be seeing nights like those any more. Who do I blame? Douchebags like you, who would rather baby bitch on the internet than roll out and support the cause.

lololol wow. i have to disagree with ya raun. there is definitly s**t popping of inna sf. unfortunatly if you are like me and from LA you realize it really is a different monster completely. a lot smaller but far more intamite (sp?). however to say that there is nothing is a farse to say the least

i would recommend getting out and about and seeing whats going on for your own good. you'll thank me

Yo, sorry for popping off like that, but with DnB dwindling up here, it f**king grates to see fools hating on the quality scene we have had.

My guess is homey hasn't been out since that show in 05 (put on by Compression, I would note), so that's just hateration for hateration's sake.

maaaaaaan. i go out to dnb events at least once to twice a month and its still bootylicious.

im out there. i've been to parties in oakland and sf. Yeah you got your big nights and those are great but I'm talking about the over all picture.


Fuck, dont get offended if I stepped on your opinion, but just go to El Rincon.....scary scene-y, seedy mutherf**kers concerned with getting f**ked up and listening to circa 97 beats. I still kept going to support it but it was on some wack s**t.

I went to compression when I had the time. I am at the underground Sf every other week. I dont post on groundscore, I just go out hear some music and go home, no scene, no drama. So as an inside outsider, I feel that I have some valid opinion.

Yah, maybe coming from LA has tainted my view, but I am far from a douche bag, I just have standards.

SF is and has been poppin. when the dubstep scene was just startin up down here I'd go up there for a glance at the ideal party scene. SF had the family vibe down since day one- hell they took me in before LA did.

It was a great night this past Thursday, with the final Compression, "The Bridge" (Lukeino, The Heights and me Ax!oM mc) played to a FULL HOUSE! SF is dwindling but there is a movement of producers here and it looks like the coming months will see SF show its talent through the beats...

SF is cool any way you slice it..scene or no scene... The DnB scene is still there man, much different than when I lived there in the late 90's but it's still there.
