Why? Craze dissed the dnb scene - AK1200 said quite clearly Craze dissed peep - his boys too - and some people blatantly find that a kick in the balls. If you cared for the music at all you can see she is a talented dj plays the whole spectrum of drum and bass and produce now and for someone so young getting plays round the world you be dumb to ignore that. So....2 things
1- I saw nirvana, in san diego @ the sports arena, w/ the butthole surfers and bobcat goldtwaith....was amazing....
I was such a nirvana nut when I was younger...lol... (true story ahead)...
so when Kurt died...I got home from school..(found out on the way home)...lit some candles...started jamming out cd's..and started to freak out (as a rediculous 15-16 year old would..lol
so I called my dad...he was like super busy in his office..I could hear papers rustling, and people in his office..
I call up crying...he's like "whats wrong"...after some blubbering..I spit out "Kurt died today!..."
so like he asks people to leave his office for a second....he sits back in his chair...deep breath.. and says
"son...I remember when jimi died"
TALK ABOUT BEST FATHER-SON MOMENT EVER...
2- so I never saw the dead..but a hippie gf I used to date took me to a ratdog show..(well I should say..we went there..without a ticket)...so we're sitting out front...and out of no where we start chit chatting with this guy..who was like.."why aren't you inside" we said..we don't have tix..
(on my kid here)
gave us 2 backstage passes...and said go check it out from the side of the stage..
so of course..we hauled ass backstage...watched the show...then afterwards..got to meet up with Bob Weir...had him sign a backstage pass..and smoked....a cigarette with him (he smoked lucky strikes!)..I had some weed..but like..it was nasty...
anyways...went home...told my dad about it..he asked to borrow the pass to show his buddy's @ work...11 years later it's still framed in his office..
so yeah we're about even..hehehe

Mastervibe, not sure if he even plays out anymore... but this guy used to have the best atmospheric/jazzy '94 ish type stuff and used to come out to a lot of East Coast parties.. Fucking amazing DJ. |

thx guys...I do have a pretty coo pops..he was always the type that would encourage going to shows... (he once let me stay home from school cause I stagedove @ biohazard..and f**ked my neck up)
mom's is the s**t as well...(she weathered 3 full on "raves" to see me play before..hahah)
anyhoo...sry for the sidechatter..
I have to say "list" of people I HAVE to see before I die....really shortened after i
a) worked for a concert security company- while yeah I was working..I still got to see the shows....bowie, metallica, etc etc
b) started going to coachella every year...I mean..beastie boys, daft punk, prince, pixies, fisherspooner, roger waters, bjork, madonna....list will go on and on
c) lived in memphis- Kiss, Ratdog, Foo fighters, Cibo Matto...I dunno..I could go on forever..memphis is an AMAZING music town |

Yeah when Kurt died, evryone I knew was shook up.
I stoped listening to rock for a while when that happened,
I just remember kids at school crying and s**t.
As for the dead, I was at griffith park when Jerry died with my hippie ass dad, and scorred some really good acid.
Later that night we went to some punk show at the whiskey, where some s**tty band was talking s**t bout J. Garcia, my uncle grabbed him(lead singer) by the neck and made him appologize, dood was scared.
