Well if pirated mixes are deleted what about pirated tunes in mixes?

I think turning into the dub plate police is going a little too far.

Especially when so much will be based on speculation. In many cases, we won't know if an unreleased track is being used with or without permission. Who knows, maybe there is a personal relationship with the producer - and some random kid has been authorized to play a certain unreleased tune (say, because they booked that producer for some party they threw - seen that happen many times).

Even more appropriate than deleting the thread, would be to point it out on the thread, and bring shame to someone that is playing unauthorised tunes. And if it was by legitimate use, then they can clear their name. That is more of a deterrant than just deleting the thread, and also more fair.

To be completely honest, I have no idea if DJ Intrigued has autorization to use this track in a mix, or even have the track in the first place. I can guarantee you that he has never brought TC out to San Diego... so I don't think he was given this track by TC. Hopefully he can post some backup on this to help clarify for the JS community...

Honestly I'm not trying to be a jerk or the dub plate police.

I looked at the tracklisting and wasn't sure if it had come out yet or not. After some looking I found out it hasn't come out.

And I find it kind of funny how it comes in out of nowhere and is double dropped with Dillinja - Life as if the tune was cut out of someone else's mix.

Listen for yourself, like I said if he comes on here and proves he is supposed to have it I would apologize for even bringing it up.

This is yet another reason why I love drum n bass so much yet the number of listeners keep on dwindling to nothing.

Dj Intrigue, some advise. I don't know how long you've been into this music but if you want to avoid outcomes like this one, switch to any other genre (many others have). I promise that no one will care if you put an an unauthorized bootleg tune in your next mix.

I don't think its so much that its an illegal D/L than its (allegedly) chopped and pasted from another MIX. LOL again!

I don't care about illegal D/L's, just make sure you got those fukkers at 320, so I don't have to roll my eyes during your set for that 128 s**te.
Also, when listing an obviously unauthorized track in your tracklisting, don't say the name of the tune; put "unknown" or just don't have a tracklist. This thread would never have started.

Now let's get to 20 posts on my new mix dammit!!

And by the way, the reason we have "dubplate police" is so that any 15 year old with an internet connection and a CD burner can't cane every big tune at the rave.
There was no need for dubplate police before this MP3 pirate craze and CDJ's/ Serrato. If you could get a clean 320 of said tune and spend $60+ to cut it, you deserved to play it!

The respect that goes along with having a couple years' experience with this music will keep it from becoming completely f**king disposable.

Newcomer DJ's should not be able to pillage every unreleased track that they can find online that Kenny or Mickey drops. It dillutes our sound.

I've been playing for almost 15 years and I aint droppin' Pornstar.

DTraxx aint droppin' Pornstar.

Obstrukt aint droppin' Pornstar.


If you can't get your nut off playin' a dance with tunes you can get "legitimately", then you're not workin' hard enough.

Pretty much, that's why I kind've concluded that the Pornstar mix with the double must've been cut out of someone else's mix, because the entire mix up to that point doesn't have one clean mix.

You get an illegal tune and put it in a mix, then yeah probably not the smartest thing to do. Cutting up other peoples mixes and putting them in yours? I mean really, you can't possibly condone that.

well since i have been caught i want to formally apologize for doing that... and dropping the track in there... thanks for calling me out on it and i am def gonna be more professional i was debating and now see what you were talking about Adam.

yes i have removed it. thanks for keeping me in check and smacking me around. as most of you know i am still a youngin and am figuring a lot out. so yea thanks for actually looking at the mix even though it is still ameture and with a dubplate police f*** up.
