Who Here on JS is Familiar with THE QEMISTS???
I HAVE BEEN CHATTIN WITH THESE GUYS FOR A WHILE AND WE ARE THINKING ABOUT DOING THEIR 1ST U.S. APPEARANCE EVER. THE FLIGHT AND FEE IS A BIT PRICEY SO WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF IT IS WORTH IT TO BRING EM OUT. THEIR PRODUCTION IS NOTHING SHORT OF TOP NOTCH AND I ALWAYS ROCK THEIR TUNES. WHAT WE WANNA KNOW IS, HOW MANY OF YOU WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SEE EM?? ANY FEEDBACK IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! |

im all bout new stuff
but dont go loosin out on money just to promote someone elses name
make sure its worth
im sure their production is sick, u have good judgement
might i suggest booking them at multiple shows to reduce costs |

Expensive + Drum & Bass = Pointless for anyone other than the biggest promoters in Los Angeles. Book local and American talent and stop letting these small acts like these ruin every promoter in America with their overpriced, barely promoted tours. I understand they are talented and on Ninja Tune, but do you really think they will pull? Our country has completely destroyed it's D&B scene from paying $2000+ for talent that barely pulls 150 people.

I have been a fan of your work and have some of your tunes, so comin from you, i respect your opinion very much. Im not one to boast or anything but, I am very comfortable with my financial situation at the moment. Anyone that have been following these Syndicate shows knows that We have never really been about the same ol' line up and try to keep it fresh. Not sayin that LA, and local based talent isnt the best there is, We just feel its dope to bring acts to the table that havent been seen as much as others. I dont mind taking some what of a hit to the wallet as long as the show goes smoothly and everyone has a great time. I brought it up on here because i have been talking with the Qemists a bit and just wanted to see how big their name really is out here. We havent decided if we are going to do it or not, and if we did, it wouldnt be untill mid 2009 so we have tons of time to promote such a show.
