Chase and Status on KROQ??
i was on my way to work this morning listening to kevin and bean. when they were playing the radio drops i heard, "this is chase and status" and then edited with someone else saying "and youre listening to kevin and bean".
did anyone else hear this? or was i just imagining it? lol |

Not too sure, but I have heard Beckoning in some of the sound bytes, as well as other dnb tracks.
I'm sure alot of the non-dnb listeners were probably thinking "who the hell is Chase and Status?" ahhahahah |

its odd when you hear a track like beckoning in a soundbyte. years ago i heard future cut - overload on an mtv commercial.

~~didn't hear it this mornin, but in the past week i've heard quite a bit of dnb sneeks on the radio. more than usual thats for sure.
on saturday night'ish' i was on my way home around 3am, and heard a "this is reid speed and you're listening to..." - but it totally didn't sound like her voice. either way, i was excited-more jungle vibes on the radio please.

Snap, I know that Money used to manage a lot of artists - but I haven't heard him bring up jungle or LTJ or anything like that before.
Petros always brings up a lot of good music, and he is into reggae and dancehall, so you will hear him play some dope reggae tracks when the are cutting in and out of segments...

yea, totally. there are amens or other simple loops in commercials, but i guess when i hear an actual tune thats played out it can be a trip haha
there are libraries of cds with simple amen/dnb loops liscenced just for advertising. when i worked at a studio id go into the cd libraries to find backround music/sound effects for radio commercials, id find all sorts of loops made just for advertising. |

NO one hate on my station now!! The guys that put that together are also DJ's too. Omar and another one that is off air. I have to hear them put it together next to my office. It sounds cool, but after an hour of them looping it, and what not.. it kills my buzz

Request wise, Propane Nightmares. I am not aware of any rotation though play. Bentley has played alot on his weekend show. Kroq uses Pendulum for MANY drops, and on Loveline, and also beds for the DJ's.
Much like Paper Planes, Music has to go through Music Testing and what not.
Request it dude. flood the lines, online, and email request. It will be noted.
