A friend of mine that I go to school with got hired at Fais Do Do the thursday before the last databass but didn't start until Monday and they didn't even tell her what happend. It kinda pissed me off. She said now they are going to have armed gards. It pisses me off that they didn't do that from the shootings that happend before. I know there is no time for bitching so Ill stop but I'm sure some can relate to my anger.

Sublife has decided to cancel the Trace show because of the circumstances at hand. They want to let everything settle and works some stuff out b4 they jump back into it.

wow wow wow.slow down ppl, now hold up, i know for a fact that databass wont ever be at the fais do do anymore. but till everything calms down it wont be for another .....at least 2 months before they come back up.

databass will not be happening at fais do do ballrooom on nov 2nd, but trace is still coming to LA & we are gonna sort something out. it will be a smaller event, but you will still be able to check out trace, ras & raiden.

we dont need people like you in our scene. la is f**king holding it down. if you'd like to stay entirely in another area please do so. we do not need your negativity as part of what we love and live for.
and sublife again thank you for many a wonderful past event, and hopefully many more in the future wherever your choice of venue may be. i'll definately be there to show my support. one crew who throws events that i really do not mind paying for.

I aint an emcee so I dont claim to be worthy of that title ...
On the same note... A lot of other fools dont deserve that title either.
I dont see the point sometimes, why do you have some cheerleader up there who aint even saying anything that means s**t ... We know the Djs name.
My point is this, some Djs are dope by themselves, the Set is a stream of sounds emotions and journeys.
If you gonna hold that mic, treat it like an instrument, say some s**t worthwhile.
Most of the time they just f**k up the set for me.
Anyone ever hear Saul Williams over Coded Language. Thats what I am talking about. I know not everyone is a Saul Williams, but yo shut that shallow cheerleader s**t up and let the deep minds enjoy the music. If you have something as deep as the music to say, say it.

Yes there is two flyers for this show. There was a hip hop room added, so the new flyers have that info on them. Because of the added talent some dj's were cut (as is the case in ALOT of events). I apologize to whomever may have been cut, but there is really nothing anyone can do about it. |
