do u know who MEKANIX IS??
alright after having a few conversations with a few people these last couple of months it's come to my attention that some of u don't know who or how to get a hold of mekanix.
who is mekanix??
well mekanix is a krezrock and i'm his side kick we do visuals for respect and have been for the past 2 yrs.. we have done several other parties such as bluebeat, evolve, etc etc..
how do u get a hold of us if u need us?

Oh and Vaga i know u have the power of making me look bad visually on stage, but u don't bigg upz for that~ What would be cool is if u guys had sum sort of slow motion effects on there or like the image of the DJ mixed over a crowd shot *damnit i'd have to show u what i mean*. actually I do know what u mean.. hmm that's a good idea .. I'd just need some stock crowd shots to pull it off .. cuz i'm not able to mix between two cameras just yet..but azy is constantly working on the patch so u never know.. .. |

I don't know if the equipment(projectors) you guys work with is capable, but if it works by recieving a digi signal you guys could use a cpu as it's media source, right, if this is possible than all you have to do is transmit your signal from a non-linear editing system (i.e. Premier/Avid)-
These programs have a ton of visual effects pre-programmed.
You guys could feed a live signal (via digi camcorder)into the computer, cut the clip up, add effects, then export it to play on your projection.
Not sure if your equipment is capable, but it's an idea.
If you guys have questions about this stuff, ask- I'm a filmmaker and I have spent hours projjin' on editing software. |

I had these two down for a FUTURA cause I wanted to have a full on D&B influenced show...
Blew My mind!
Heres a sample with reid speed rawking the decks!
My homies Mr. Phear & MC DRE with a full on visual assult in the background
I highly recommend these two to enhance your party experience!
They also do psychadelic birthday parties for kids with ADD lol!

it could be done with the existing setup. simply by adjusting the video digitizer objectrate(the rate of data being fed to and from the object). then add a blur to smooth out the inbetween frames in slow mo.
to get the image of the crowd on one bus and the dj on another is possible live. capture frames of crowd into bus b's buffers then loop, then mix back into bus a (dj by this point).

LMAO! oh and grimance.. i hate preimere..lol.. avid's too expensive..(but i love avid ..that's my day job) ..we have thought 'bout using an extra lap top using final cut with more footage..but..that's more equipment to haul around..NATO is capable to use qt movs. .. and that's cool for now..(but thanks for the suggestion!!!)

There is no doubt that Mekanix Crew (Krez, VaGa & newcomer RAW) are at the forefront of the Visual, Video &
Media Experience!
What you Guys do iz ILL-Ya know
what I mean!
And the Visual Experience is never the same week after week.
Take Bassrush for example;
when I walked in, the lasers where tiGht, but the video was cool
for only about 10 minutes before I Got totally bored with it and was fiendin’
for Mekanix visuals.
You Guys are definitely a part of the Experience that we know as RESPECT and thinGs would not be the same without you.
