Breakdancing is part of the whole scene!!

BREAKDANCING is PART OF every HipHop-Funk-DrumNBass-and many other scenes I feel is a WAY OF RELEASING YOUR AGRESSIONS FROM ANGER AND WHAT NOT, what do u guys think?

breakin is cool but it f**ks up a dancefloor and you gotta drop f**kin bombs that distract people from the monkey antics so they start dancing again...

i dunno all the alittle mexicans that went that went to my school thought they were bad and were all trying to breakdance... i have since then grown to hate it...

dont take up my space on the dance floor cause you want to jack off in a circle...

breakin is tight, but it doesn't really go hand in hand with any of those scenes. it has the most in common with hip hop; broken beats, mcs, graf, and breakin. must be a b-boy thang.
i don't really think it has super much to do with jungle. i wouldn't miss it personally.
as a matter of fact, for the most part I wouldn't miss an MC at a jungle party. I think the reason MCs became so much a part of the scene is that dnb has gotten so monotonous that it needs something to keep you interested. when I listen to old skool DnB sets the MC doesn't really talk too much because the music is already so busy. most new DnB is noisy but not busy.
my homie download DJ Cool Hand FLex and MC GQ live at AWOL 94. f**kin rockin set, and GQ adds to the mix without trying to take over. a great example of how a DJ and MC should interact.

I've heard Stevie Hyper D flow nonstop over Nicky Blackmarket many times. I think it might have been him who started that nonstop flowing style but that was a long time ago.

i think brekadancing is cool. i had this convo with someone yesterday who said it pisses him off b cuz he payed to go in to dance. i told him that breakers paid just as much to dance...breaker style. so yeah i can see how t can piss ppl or when they take up the whole floor, but im sure we dancers and them breakers can come to a sharing agreement =).

I really like peoples comment on this subject, am sure we could talk about it all night long, but no matter what, BREAKDANCING IS PART OF THE MUSIC SCENE !!!!

DANCING, in general, IS PART OF THE MUSIC SCENE. But that don't mean its a good idea to waltz to house, or break to polka. Breaking and hip hop (and for a lesser part breakbeat) go hand in hand. I guess my point is: JUNGLE IS NOT HIP HOP. No matter how much all the hip hop heads wish it is, it isn't. Even though there are hip hop influences it isn't f**king hip hop. Even though it has (had) a broken beat, it isn't f**kin hip hop. Jungle has hip hop influences, but its biggest influence is 'ardcore breakbeat, which was mostly influenced by acid house. Jungle has its roots in rave/ electronica, though it is heavily influenced by Jamaican sound, hip hop, jazz, funk, and hella other forms of music. But again JUNGLE IS NOT HIP HOP, and HIP HOP IS NOT THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE IN JUNGLE MUSIC.

its always ganna be there. if people are doing it must be because there is a beat that they can relate to. i mean you are right you dont see b-boys busting to poka or some s**t like that. thats cuz it doesnt relate to anything of its origin. its just ment to be. if you dont like it you dont like it but dont stop others from enjoying it and expressing them selves to diffrent music. you have to RESPECT.
