ok we're getting a pretty sizeable amount...
of subscribers now.
here is what i am going to do:
1. i'm going to make it say something special when you post so people know you support the site.
2. i'm going to work out discounts at respect, recon, proper and muse (haha jk about the last two) for subscribers... the discounts will be about 25% off of cover. if you are a club promoter please contact me about discounts. eecue at eecue dot com
3. i am going to work out discounts at record stores. around 10%
4. i am going to start having local djs make mixes just for junglescene members. you will then be able to pick them up at respect from randy j for free. (i haven't asked randy yet but i'm sure he won't mind too much... maybe you can give him a dollar for his troubles.) i haven't asked him yet but the first mix is going to be from Deacon.
5. party discounts. i am going to work it out so all upcoming parties will give a 20% discount to junglescene subscribers.
6. membership cards - just a card with a special stamp the glows in UV and is laminated with your name on it.
7. any other requests?

Dave i say u start from scratch and have people (who want) pay like a dollar amount ($5 per month) (to help u pay for the site) and they get all of this (above), but those that don't want to pay, don't get these extras.
Ohh and i say scratch the ID badges thing, plus u have to remember that u have a sizable community from San Diego and around the country so what would they get (they obviously aren't coming to our clubs, well maybe SD). |

I'll still subscribe just cause, but you might also want to remember a lot of people (like me) don't live were you do and don't go to those clubs / rec. stores, etc. So you might just want to throw in a little something extra so they are motivated as well to pay up! |

Like XYZ said... what about the SD kids? A lot of us do come up there for events but not on a regular enough basis to make it a deal for us... it should be enough to just support the site but you shouldn"t favor the LA scene just cause it"s where you are... |

eecue - some of this is not fair to some of the people who have been supporting the site and scene for quite sometime. i understand people who pay should get some benifits, but isn't one of the biggest benifits that we get to keep the site running???!!!!!
