but i don't think that the 2,000 daily users of this site will let it go that easily.

i dont get it...

you host junglescene at your job -- it's not that difficult to do some tracerts -- and they charge you for the hosting?

back where i used to work, the admins would put a box on the network and that was that... no one really above you to call ya on it. after all, it's your job to monitor the traffic. =]

just curious, can you explain that and please, no need to delete/ban... just seems quite strange.

i'm not hosting at my job. it's hosted at the same colo my work's server is but i pay the bill for my box.

it's on the same network, note the ip addresses... you're the IT guy, i cant believe they even *know* JS is on their network to be honest and if they did, they sure wouldnt allow it given the content and how it could affect business, potentially bring them future litigation, etc...

ive never talked s**t on you personally and you know me to be a stand up guy in person. ill tell you to your face what id say on the board. and there's people here that would privately attest to that.

i havent agreed with some of the policing, ive voiced my *opinion* on site layout and ive questioned you posting a lot of personal information on the site when that's been reprimanded by you before. that's not talking s**t, that's just being one of the few to say "yanno dave, i have some questions, i dont agree or i dont think you're setting a good example by your actions". ive met tons of people here, we've got some tunes heard here but im really not down for the whole lets talk s**t but ill give you fake smiles and hand shakes to your face.

im always doing it with respect, which im not always getting back, but at the very least recognize that im simply an individual who expresses his opinion or has a question, and is not afraid to ask. i think as far as that goes, there's not a person here who's stepped to it with as much of an open mind.

im not from la so maybe my approach isn't quite the norm... im a bit old fashioned, small town guy, yanno? we just do things a bit differently.

our music isn't the kind of music that's *so* good. mp3s dont jump off my hard drive and djing is not a primary concern at this time. are you seriously offended that i post a clip of a tune on here (in the LISTEN TO THIS forum) when we're finished. cuz ill stop... no worries, thought people wanted to hear. i figure that's better contributed dnb content than 98% of the *comments* here.

I think posting your mp3's is good. You guys got some amazing tracks. I don't think there's anything wrong with being the main contributor to space on here. BUT calling out the man who gives you that space for free in a public forum doesn't seem cool. It's like getting free VIP to a party and then coming home and talking s**t on the party. Seems a bit ungrateful to me.

pete: we host the music on our own server (thank you adam!)... posting a thread about it doesn't any more bw than any other thread here. i dont talk s**t at dave or whatever you're saying, i just want to ask some questions when something seems fishy ... that's me, how ive always -- unfortunately depending on how you look at it -- been. dave gave me an answer... not quite in the way i was looking for but that's been how it goes for me. no big deal, ive got thick skin.

obviously i appreciate the site and service, a PLACE to actually post said threads. ive been here for a long time, even admin'd for awhile and did what i could. just me visiting and allowing the advertising to worth that much more (as small as that difference makes) says something... i dont think, though, that dave is above anything that he dishes out often. i used to run a lot of big gaming fansites when i worked at gamespy and the same thing would happen to me on occassion. i wouldnt expect anything else... and ive been relatively respectful, unlike many of them.

enough of this though, we're well past the childish stage of this discussion... ill bow out.

s**t, that's what i do.. my company pays 20$ a month for a 14mbps uplink.. of course our isp is about.. 75 feet away, but yah..
