New Concord Dawn Album - Buy, don't download!
Just read a post on Biggie.co.nz from MattC, one of the Concord Dawn boys. Even tho their new album has only been released here on Tuesday (we're the first to get it), some f**kers have already ripped the new album.
So although your having to wait a lil, don't be f**kwits. If your gonna have the tunes, actually buy it rather than just downloading it, cos they've released it on their own label and I can tell you now that they arn't driving round in brand new Mercedes and throwing their money around. So instead of being a f**kwit, support the scene so Matt and Evan can put back into the scene what they earn cos without our support they're gonna have to end up getting real jobs.
On a brighter note tho. Had my first listen to it today and its a killer and as soon as I have some shoes without holes that I could drive a truck through, I'm gonna buy it..
Anyways, a nice lil transcript of what Matt had to say from the convo on Biggie..

a big shout out going to whoever it was from new zealand who decided that our album should be freely available on soulseek and mirc.
its nice to work hard for 2 years making an album and then have it distributed for free .
people can say what they want about "spreading the word" and think thye are doing us a favour, but we kinda wanted to sell those albums.
i had reservations about releasing this album in nz before the rest of the world but i thought that people from new zealand would kind of be a little bit more supportive of locals, and not want to f**k them over like this.
if anyone has any information about who ripped it first then pls contact me by email on matty_concord@hotmail.com

Anyways, to set a lil thing straight. I'm not part of Concord Dawn or a close friend or anything, so this isn't a cynical PR exercise on their part.
I'm just an average kiwi head who hates it when our local tunes get ripped. Its hard enough down here as it is to get any recognition on the world stage in any form of music, let alone starting to step forward towards the top of the game. Nzders seem to have to work as hard if not harder than most to get anywhere cos we're kinda a long way from anywhere.
Basically what I'm trying to say is this... consider that they've spent 2yrs work on the album, and I'd say a good solid 90% of that on the dole (or welfare as you guys call it) so they could get this s**t out.
Oh, as a final thing, f**kwit here means essentially the same thing here, just you've read it out of context, well kinda... I reread what I wrote and yeah, does sound like I'm calling you guys f**kwits. I'm not. Just calling people who rip Concord Dawns album f**kwits... so there ya go.
Actually just read the comments properly on the f**kwit thing, man, calling someone a f**kwit over there must be a big thing. Its an insult over here, but its not a biggie. Then again I've heard that misusing the word c**t over there can be a bad thing

ironically enuff...
I just found out that D+D (red distribution /sony) is in a lawsuit over albums being ripped and downloaded. I was told my album "Firing Pin", which they distributed, was downloaded a buncha times so if they win, I might get some dough. I dont know the specifics of all this but it's f**ked up either way cuz i made nuttin off that album.
