.... junglescene is mad PLUR and if everyone stopped sucking each others dicks for one second that maybe users would realize that this lil cyber love-in is not healthy. "Your such a good DJ" or "so and so,your so pretty." I have a feeling most of yall got beat up in high school. I love 'da drum and bass but the scene cracks me up

Fiction: I only log on to JS at work.
Fact: I am unemployed and use the Library computer. And at nights I sneak to my moms room and use her computer when she is sleeping. (she locks it up when she leaves the house)

come on now dimas you know that's not true in any business or "scene". some of the most talented people in the world are unheard of, and some of the people gett'n prop's in this town cant even hold a mix down. the illest mindset is better than alot of the dj's in SD that get book'd alot more than he does. polotics are a HUGE part of the game.

Yes indeed, politics are a HUGE part probably the biggest part these days.... thats why you need to play along in order to get heard.. I hate to say it but talent don't do much anymore, theres too much saturation in the SCENE.... and it hasn't gotten any bigger at all, same amount of clubs and pretty much the same regulars... The competitions alot more thick now then it was in the mid 90's cause theres more DJ's and the same amount of clubs...

Nowadays even the PICASSO'S of the scene need to HUSTLE just as much as everyone else....

I liked your last MIX cd by the way.. is that wrong of me to say sooo?

if you think "so and so" dj can't mix and you're all pissed cuz they're spinning out and you're not...maybe they have better records than you! if you're giving out good demos to the right people, there's no reason you shouldn't have a chance at things. but when people don't get demos, etc. they resort to the easy way to book somebody (jsm). hype can only get somebody so far. you know a lot of people might go and see a js deejay spin for his first time. but if the dj sucks, then they won't want to support him. hoewever if the dj doesn't suck, then they gain a following.

i think it's funny how some people are racing to "stardome" in the scene. as if there really are any stars besides guys like raw and crs.. cutting all the corners/taking all the shortcuts doesn't seem like the healthy way to go about things if you wanna make it in the indsutry. i know personally if i were to ever 'come out' as an artist i would give it a LOT of time and effort before i start sharing my art with people...

personally if "so and so" cant mix I aint gonna be there to hear it(why you dont see me juss hangin out at every event)........and I dont feel some obligation to try and get booked over this wack dj .....in order to save the jungle community, provide a quality session or prove something.....

i got better things to do.....these cats ultimatly just fall off in the end and are replaced but other talentless brown nosers.......

wow, thats all real deep and everything but its not that complicated. Dimas said it perfectly. Polotics a big part of the game, and as far as myself wishing i played out more, thats not true at all, though i do wish i got paid more, and im sure MK's happy w/ the amount of bookings hes gotten as well.
