Re: quick question?
Ok yesterday I replied to your question and of course it was immediately taken as me being hostile so I deleted it like a puss for the sake of confrontation.
but f**k it...
Being a junglist .. being a house head ... being emo whateverthef**k is often just a way for people to feel like they belong to a group. It gives people who feel the need to identify with something a sense of belonging. In our society the music we listen to is so much a part of the TYPE of person we are seen as people feel the need to identify themselves with thier music and defend that music tooth and nail for fear, not that their music is challenged, but that their identity is. This leads to very closeminded attitudes and rejection of new ideas for fear they aren't "junglist" enough. Hence the reason some people get all up in arms when house music encroches on Drum and Bass. Too bad these are the same new ideas that often propell the music to new heights.

Re: quick question?
cuz it sounds stupid if u say "u know.......those people that like jungle and listen to jungle and go to jungle parties....". it just simplifies things. kinda like how u call a dog a "dog". u don't say "those mammals that bark and walk on 4 legs, with the fur that eat dog food.....". it's quite simple really |
