RECORD THIEF CAUGHT @ RESPECT!!!
It is truly unfortunate that we've come to find out THE T-N-A CD 'LIQUIDATION' CONTAINS RECORDS STOLEN FROM DJ DARA. We know this based on the fact that Dara noticed records missing from his bag while spinning...and then by some miracle, THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN OF DJ TEKMO WITH DARA'S DUBPLATE IN HAND.  This particular dubplate was set by an exit, obviously to stash and retrieve more....at least 8 more to be specific. Someone close to us saw the plate by the door and ended up returning it to Dara, but the rest were gone...until SS played at RESPECT.
We've confronted Tekmo, who mistakenly thought he'd gotten away with it, and had him banned from Respect.
Members of the Contra Crew have retrieved the rest of records and given them to us after seeing the photo as proof. We have no reason to think the other members of Contra Crew had any involvement with this incident other than having poor choice in friends. A friend willing to risk their friendships and common goals by making one very stupid mistake.
Tekmo is not someone who deserves to be a part of this scene...because immature actions like this make Los Angeles and Club Respect look bad in the eyes of our guest DJ's and the world DnB community. We will not stand for thievery or undeserved dis-respect in any way!
As far as we are concerned this will remain an issue if this clown is seen at any DnB show we [Junglist Platoon] are affiliated with, playing, or promoting at...we have more than one picture so recognition will be immediate and action may be severe.
This link has been sent to Dara.
He already has the picture and stands by us in calling this fool out.
Tekmo...your actions demanded this.

An extremely shady promoter booked Luke Slater way back in 95. He had his gangster buddies go to pick him up at the airport. They took his records to the car and said "grab your luggage, we'll meet you up front" and they never came back. dude was stranded at the airport. he has since vowed never to play in chicago again.

Damn i think for ADAM F show on Thurs. maybe the stage should be restricted b/c ADAM spins/mixxes quick and he stacks up records (as in not putting them in sleeves) like crazi. When i played with him he literally had 40 tunes laying out of their sleeves on the ground. Damn all the work that dude above did or could've done in the future has now been for nothing due to something so stupid . . . . . |

If only that were the case. As I got further into my set I would go looking for a tune that I was sure I had earlier but couldn't find it. I have nothing but love for Machete and the Respect crew.I had a wicked time and look forward to playing there again. Big ups.
