Re: dnb @ beatport.com
hell ya - good lookin out. its wierd cuz its kinda unfair to vinyl dj's when cdj's can get their s**t for like 90% cheaper, but its great for rec collectors & fans who want the music and want to support but don't got $10 to get the hot tune of the week.
double sided sword - vinyl distro loses / fans pay for tunes they'd have had to dl |

Re: dnb @ beatport.com
vinyl will not die. I'll always buy vinyl when I have the cash. until then, sites like these that offer tracks for less than vinyl prices will be the way to go.
vinyl still sounds much better than any CD, IMO. if vinyl were cheaper, I'd be buying all of these bits on wax. |

Re: dnb @ beatport.com
seems this site is a great tool for some back catalogue that you did not pick up. for new stuff, nothing will beat vinyl or tracks directly from the artist/label. |

thats kind of a silly thing to say... vinyl WILL die, and all it will take is for enough people to adopt your attitude. if you support vinyl, then support vinyl! think about it... |

Re: dnb @ beatport.com
Theoretic will have their catalog up soon also. Theoretic Ltd will be a digitally distributed section of the label, with THRLTD001 already up. The 12” side will also have their catalog online as well…THR001 and 002 should be up soon. |

Re: dnb @ beatport.com
i think i do my part not contributing to the oil sponging by not owning a car or driving. vinyl doesn't add up to s**t compared to SUVs... I do have a CD deck, and I admit it's convenient as hell to get mp3s to mix with (except you can't see where the breakdowns are...) but I still buy everything on vinyl pretty much, and I would hate to see vinyl disappear. |
