When Jayvon met Amiel (aka Universoul), it was after Jayvon had finished a set at Qtopia. Amiel told him his s**t was hot and introduced himself with the alias as DezEinswell, telling Jayvon to check out his work on his website (which was actually DezEinswell's website). Jayvon hadn't heard of Dez and didn't assume this kid would be lying and naturally thought the work Amiel said was his was tight. He used a comment by Amiel on the intro to his new CD, "Rumble" and posted about the intro and Amiels alias's on Junglescene. Today on JS, Jayvon found out that Amiel had been lying about this the whole time.
The kind of work and moral ethics that have been displayed by Universoul, (frontin as Dez Einswell and using his website as a representation of his work) are not the way Jayvon represents himself in any way. This is new information for Jayvon, which he would have never known had Dankygirl and Igottapoo not pointed the fallacy out on Junglescene on Jayvon's Sets&Tracklistings post about the intro on his new CD, "Rumble".
Anyone who knows Jayvon knows that he is very strong in his morals and only keeps good company. He is very dissappointed and upset as he has worked very hard to make a name for himself, his own name, from scratch and would never pose. He does not have time for bulls**t like this. As for the emails, there is no need to threaten Jayvon, he is not the one frontin. I hope this is clear. If you would like to discuss the issue with him, please feel free to do so.
Jayvon has already revised the intro to his CD, "Rumble" on his streaming/downloading website. No one has a hard copy of "Rumble" with Ameil's intro and no one will.
and can I just say, DAMN that sucks...there are always some bad apples, people that cut corners, people who have low self-worth and confidence. please stay away from good people that are trying to do their s**t right. Thank you.

i must also add that is unfortunate that some think they have to lie to get ahead in this game. life is ruff but all it takes is very hard work and you can be successful.
amiel you are a talented individual i have seen you create before my own eyes so it is sad to think you believed you needed to lie to become friends and further yourself. now it seems that you have taken steps backwards as this has come out into the open. you are ruining your own career, future and well being by these actions! i hope you learn from this.
i have revised the intro on "Rumble" and it is up once again for everyones enjoyment!

thats f**ked up jayvon. im sorry to hear that. univssoul has been underhanded with me as well. not anywhere on the same level. but he tried to sneak on the guest list for one of my parties by saying that he was friends with one of my artists that i had booked and that they had told him just to contact me about being on the guest list because they were to busy to call me. thats a supa lame excuse. thats something just so dumb to do. i mean im no super power in the scene or whatever. but still ya know why start out a realtionship with someone with a lie. that was the first and only time i have ever spoken to him. not a great first impression for to say the least |

as far as i know, amiel's always been univssoul. i remember the whole episode last time pretty well cuz i'm one of the people who called him out on it. i figured he'd paid his penance for his misdeeds, with all the time he spent away from the scene, and moved on from the old amiel. i guess i was wrong though. what really sucks is he's a good artist but once again his name is tarnished. i really don't know what else to say... |

I am glad that you guys wrote something yourselves about this, so I wont' hear some twisted version from word of mouth. I hardly knew Amiel. I only had maybe say hi once or a few times in the past. But, I didn't think he was the type of person to do this kind of thing.
But, I thought he's always been using the alias "Univssoul". Sorry, if I spelled it wrong.
But, Jayvon, don't worry a thing. I think enough people in the scene know you enough to know you wouldn't be associated with these kind of things. And, we hardly talk, but I know along with the others that you have a good head on your shoulders. Don't let it bring you down.

I had no idea about Amiel...it seems very odd that someone would front to be someone that is known in the same circle....I dont get it.
I have put faith in him and given him chances as artist several times.
