Since his introduction to turntable culture in 1992, Eric Andrews has always made a point in giving back to the scene that has provided an outlet for so many. His first offering came in the form of helping throw outlaw/underground parites. Later as he contiued to throw such parties he continued giving back by setting up the F.U.S.I.O.N. LINE, a information line which like it predecessors, provided the thriving San Diego scene with event information. As his fascination and involvement with the culture grew, Eric found his biggest influence by working at one of San Diego's most talked about record stores/booking agencies "Champion Sound". Through his 3 year involvement with "Champion Sound", he not only continued his involvement in throwing clubs/parties, he
also developed the necessary contacts to start both "NOBLE" a clothing company, and "PROPAGANDA" one of San Diego's most used graphic design & urban marketing companies. More importantly his involvement with the
record store inevidably paved the way for him to develop the skills to become a DJ. Currently he can be spotted at San Diego's largest dj culture store California Sound & Lighting where he is the downtempo buyer. There is no wondering as to why this "moody sensory glutton", could not stick to one mixing genre of music, let alone one alias. ************************************************************* Eric aka "Probable Cause" is no stranger amongst the San Diego Drum & Bass scene. Mostly known for his contribution to San Diego's longest running Drum & Bass Weekly "DEEP", "PC" has rocked the decks from SD to Seattle to New Mexico with the likes of Perfect Combination, Cause4Concern, Ed Rush, Optical, Loxy, Ink, High Contrast, Tech Itch, Vinyl Syndicate, Dieselboy, Dara, AK1200, & Mathematics to name a few. ************************************************************* Besides D&B and trip-hop, Eric also mixes what he calls "Mutated Disco" under the aliases, "Buck Nasty" and "Dirty Bizness." "Mutated Disco" is basically 80's. electroclash, Cheesy top 40 that you love to hate and even drum & bass mixed (yes actually mixed) together. He feels it's a great opportunity to play at a venue and have people that are into different genres hear a variety of music put together in one set. Not to mention an excellent opportunity to allow his 80's obsessed, A.D.D. self to let loose. ************************************************************* When not on the decks Eric can be found in his home office satisfying his visual addiction through doing graphic design for his design firm "Propaganda Urban Mktg." Having such clients as Skratch (the documentary), Ming + FS, Bluem Recordings, Tango Recordings, Big Deluxe Tattoo, California Sound and Lighting, Fashion Aides, Mixed Up Mosaics, On Broadway, Onyx Room, Siesta Music ,YWCA, there's no wonder why Eric has made just as a reputable name for himself for his graphic design skill as his aliases have in the DJ community.

After a few years of raving/promoting in 1994, Riccardo called it quits vowing never to listen to electronic music again. In 2001 he broke his vow of silence and bought Can't Punish Me after a brief indie hip hop stint revitalized his love for breakbeats. Riccardo is now working on his DJing skills and building a record collection and is eager to share his love of drum n bass with you.
Movement:
Tijuana, Mexico is going through the biggest music reniassance in modern history! Thanks to the Nortec movement, Tijuana's thriving electronic music scene has made a huge splash on an international level.
The city that gave the world Nortec music exhibited a magnetic dance music culture that drew people from around the world. These huge parties would bump House and Nortec music all night long.
During those early days, Drum & Bass was virtually non-existent. The only 2 DJ's were
V-Rama the original junglist, and a fresh new DJ from San Diego known as Dimas. They would play Drum & Bass to small groups of forward thinking ravers in the wee hours of the morning. "The first party I played was at a huge club right on Rosarito Beach called Sol Cafe. The dance floor was pure sand and behind the DJ booth was the beach. I remember throwing on some ED Rush at 3 in the morning after a whole night of pumping house and made all the hard core dancers who were still there go crazy until the sun came up" Recalls Dimas.
Later on, Nortec event promoter Pedro Beas AKA Hipoboreal realized the potential of this bubbling new music culture and created a separate room for people to enjoy Drum & Bass music at these Nortec massives. Since Dimas and V-Rama were the only DJ's in town, they begun to invite many of their fellow junglist's from San Diego, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia to come down and play to this new developing scene. Seasoned DJ's such as RAS, Hollowpoint, and Jackal were amazed by the awesome energy that took place in this small room upstairs at the Jai-Alai Palace.
After continuously filling the Drum & Bass room with wall to wall people dancing and loosing their minds to the throbbing sounds of tech step, and jazz step, they all realized it was time to begin a club night in order to cater to Tijuana's developing appetite for Drum & Bass music.
From that day on, the concept of FUTURA was born! FUTURA started out with a small group of DJ's who would gather on Thursdays at Don Loope Club to share their love for Drum & Bass music. DJ's Such as Linga would fly in from Mexico City, and the Deep Kru would come from San Diego to partake in the vibrant beginnings of a Tijuana Drum & Bass institution.
Currently, FUTURA is held once a month at the world famous Jai-Alai & Don Loope Club which attracts masses of people from San Diego, Los Angeles, Tijuana, Rosarito, and Ensenada that come religiously to enjoy the international ambience that makes the FUTURA so unique. With the help of DJ's from San Diego, Los Angeles, Tijuana, and Mexico City, the Tijuana Drum&Bass movement proves that music is truly an international language.
Personal Bio:
Dimas has rocked many shows in Tijuana, Rosarito, San Diego, and most notably "Whiskey-A-Go-Go" Los Angeles. He has also collaborated with Ramon Bostich in past performances as a Turntablist and worked in the studio with Fussible's Pepe Mogt and Jorge Ruiz on various tracks. Dimas has been perfecting his unique and unpredictable Funky-Drum-&-Bass sound since 1996. His performances have begun to form a following, which has earned him a residency at legendary massive "Nortec Parties". Currently, Dimas is helping others pioneer the "Tijuana Drum & Bass Scene" by throwing a successful series of parties called "FUTURA" and, as a producer of Nortec Drum & Bass Music.
Joseph Esposito, known to those as JO-S, has been pioneering the cutting edge sounds of drum and bass for over nine years. Originally from New York, he has performed in almost every major city throughout the US showcasing his originally produced material. His debut release in the spring of 2000 on Caffeine Records entitled, "Syphon" was featured on the DJ EP Vol. 3 compilation alongside artists Datcyde and Micro (Moonshine, Caffeine). The "Syphon Remix" was released shortly thereafter as a limited pressing in the summer of 2000. He achieved even wider acclaim when his tune "Turbo" was released on the highly respected F-111/Higher Education imprint, which earned him a remix by The Usual Suspects (Renegade Hardware/UK). His productions also played an integral part in the development of Rawkuts Records; one of America’s foremost drum and bass labels. His first Rawkuts single, "Desire / Beehive (Pulsecode)" sold over 2000 + copies. The dancefloor smasher, "Submission" was released shortly there after on the Rawkuts double-pack entitled, "At the Brink" which featured other works from label mates Pish Posh, The Burner Brothers, and KC. "Submission" was licensed by BML for a mix CD by DJ Odi. "Separation" was licensed by Moonshine for DJ Freaky Flow’s, "World Domination" mix CD.
With a BA in Visual Communications, JO-S continues to push the envelope as a graphic designer. His visual aesthetics rival the quality of his musical counterpart. JO-S reserves some of his time away from the studio to design event flyers and CD packaging on a freelance basis. He aspires to set up his own media design firm named Demogrfx some time in the future.
Over this past year, JO-S has achieved wide acclaim with his more recent trips to the West Coast. With such an overwhelming response he decided to become bi-coastal and re-locate the studio to Los Angeles. Since the move, JO-S has been busy preparing his debut artist mix album, "Firing Pin". The track selection is a definitive look into the production history of this rising stateside drum and bass artist. It also foreshadows the potential energy JO-S has to offer in his future productions. This mix CD contains 13 original tracks. The album is now available in most Tower and Virgin record stores. The first 12" single featuring "Mainframe / Timepiece" is also available in record shops with the second 12" set to drop in the new year. All art direction was headed by JO-S on the project so his aesthetics are represented in both mediums.
MIXER – Oct 2002 Review
" For the vinyl release preceding his full length, "Firing Pin'", Jo-S pulls out all the stops. Multi-layered and bold, the techy, aggressive nature is tempered with originality in delivery. The vigorous energy of "Timepiece" keeps that confident floor driven attitude peppered with scattered female vocal stabs and sweeping atmospherics."
- Lily Moayeri (4 stars)
DJ TIMES – Dec 2002 Review
" American d-n-b fans should be proud to call JO-S their own. Intricate, audacious and powerful, the textured quality of "Undertow" is on par with producers that have been around for ages. Continuing strongly on "Disintegrate," the robustness gives way to a resilient bounce and an enticing female vocal. Very nice.
- Lily Moayeri
Personal Info: Daryl M. Taiji has been exclusively spinning drum and bass since 1995. He has played at various events in the Los Angeles area and is well respected for his own style of Atmospheric-Jazz influenced, funky drum and bass. Alternatively, he can be found playing house, 2 step U.K. garage and downtempo trip hop. DJ DMT is always known to infuse the hard with the smooth, and never forgetting the funk.

Bio:
.Com first stepped behind the wheels of steel in 1997 as a hip-hop DJ. He was quickly drawn into hip-hop’s underground and developed a style of turntabalism and beat tricks. He and his partners threw house parties and .Com was able to establish himself as a recognized name in underground circles. After meeting up with DJ/Producer Tofu (JungleVoodoo/Craftmasters), he got his first taste of jungle/Drum & Bass. This opened a new door for .Com as he was starting to get frustrated with the direction of hip-hop at that time. Switching to the supersonic breaks of d’n’b was not a problem for the DJ and he was easily able to modify his turntable skills to fit the genre. Shortly after, Tofu asked him to join the Craftmasters. Along with the Craftmasters, .Com dropped energy pumped sets all over Long Beach, Orange County and Sacramento. It was his skills on the decks that also garnished the attention of Jungle Voodoo and in 1999, he was brought onto the J.V.C. roster.
In 2000, .Com branched off into the world of music production and has already laid down an album’s worth of intricate material. He will have a single out on Jungle Voodoo Recordings by year’s end and is also getting ready to launch his own production company: Chaos In Motion.
Even with all of that on his plate, .Com still finds time to contribute to junglevoodoo.com and Illusionation.com, writing reviews and articles.

Bio: Chris's musical talent stems from his early exposure to all types of music and cultures, creating an open mind and planting a seed that would later develope into MK-Ultra, an alter ego and soldier to the Drum N Bass frontline. This old school junglist/new school selecta first made his presence felt in San Diego's B-Boy scene, poppin n lockin at the infamous Bulletproof Sessions (San Diegos original Junglist session). After building a name for himself in the " circle" , MK-Ultra stepped out of the spotlight and back into the shadows. The beat of the drum had taken over and a need to become one with music quickly became an obsession. Now focusing on the mix 'n' blend, technology and technicality of the future sound(jungle), MK-Ultra has elevated his skills to the next level inside the mix and entered a new realm. MK-Ultra has stepped back into the spotlight but now as a DJ, releasing his technical skills and high quality selection throughout the So. Cal. Drum N Bass community. Now as a member of the crew which had inspired him " Bulletproof" and co-founder of " The Bombsquad" MK-Ultra can be found mashin up dancefloors throughout the U.S with his signature hardsteppa vibe and futuresound roughness. Having performed alongside the likes of R.A.W, Curious, Machete, Hazen, Jo-S, Ho Chi, Aphrodite, Fierce, Usual Suspects and Black Sun Empire. MK Ultra is undoubtably making his mark throughout the U.S and contiues to put San Diego on the map as a boom'n Junglist community.

chrisk started off as your typical kid living in the san fernando valley. got into trouble. broke some windows, ran from the cops, you know those crazy 818'ers. somehow in the midst of his trouble making hay-day, he picked up a few crazy analog instruments; the guitar, the bass, and drums. this was an eye opener for chris. he realized he could get in more trouble this way. he began playing in different bands, genre's ranging from punk, ska, salsa, oldies, and just plain ol rock n f**king roll. along the lines a few years later, he discovered dj'ing. he had always had a love for music as shown by his passionate collecting of tapes and cds throughout the year. this seemed to be his calling. he quickly saved up money from working two jobs, and bought his first set of 1200's. his life has never been the same since. they are his love. they are his life. today chris has since transplanted from the 818 to the 626. even with this new area code, chris cannot forget his love for where he came from. you can book him yourself by emailing chrisk@youraveragecrew.com.

Karl Cutta MC (Los Angeles Unified, Scrap Club, Drunken Masters: New Zealand/Los Angeles) began his career in the Los Angeles jungle scene as a cyber journalist, for the now stagnant Junglist.com, reviewing parties. Although he has been writing lyrics since late 1996, it was not until late 2001 that he began his voyage into drum and bass emceeing full-fledged. Since teaming up with Cerebral Integration in 2001, he has been working the circuit of crowd pumping, and lyricism in Los Angeles. Originally hailing from New Zealand, but now residing in L.A., Karl Cutta brings a different sounding flavor to the microphone. Being a lover of reggae and a dancehall DJ at heart, Cutta’s style is definitely influenced by bashment MCs. With his smooth, tenor, New Zealand twang, knowledge of track structure and impeccable timing he gets the crowd pumped and leaves them wanting more. He allows the tracks to play and hops in with a vocal snippet or a flow at just the right time. "Yoink! What’s the score? You zero, me four?"

(Drum & Bass) All styles, from rough n aggressive to the jazzy, smoother sounds. He will roll in any direction, depending on the gig.
(Other) Hip Hop/Jazz
Years in Industry: 13 Years
Favorite Label: Full Cycle
Favorite MC: Dynamite MC, I said it in my 98 interview with URB mag, he's the original don, his crispness upon the mic can't be touched + he's extremely humble.
Bio
Tez was introduced into the scene by his old graff partner TAME from the UK in 1990, the first artist he heard was Adamski when he relocated from Nottingham, UK to NYC which intrigued this B-Boy. Tez used to bomb with world renowned PULSE of ILC fame (Still one of UK’s best), we basically were beyond “all city”, we made pilgrimages to other city’s to compete, and crews like Goldie's Wolverhampton B-Boys Crew took notice. Nottingham was always competitive.
The first time he watched Style Warz and read Subway Art in the early to mid 80's was a life altering situation, being a artist all his life, this was his calling. Immersed in the Graff & Breaking scenes lead him to meet Nebula2, responsible for some of the first Jungle tunes to be released by 4Hero's Re-Inforced label. They bombed Nationally and at present are working on a vocal tune after all these years.
Here’s alink to some artwork from 1988 to present…
Before he left for the US, he used to break into warehouses and throw Hip Hop jams till the early AM in 88. He took this philosophy from the early House heads, who used to do break ins or throw party’s in the middle of Sherwood Forest.
When TEZ finally touched down in SD, he was intent on pushing this sound, he would end up meeting DJ QUEST in 1992 to form Ruffneck Alliance, Quest was playing Jungle but did’nt know the name of this new sound, this was the first DJ n MC combination in S.Cali, alongside MC Question Mark and DJ Synchromone from London, but unfortunetly Sync ended up going home in 1994.
Tez and Quest formed BULLETPROOF Sessions in 1996, San Diego, to dis-associate themselves from the early rave scene and hold their own as Independent Junglists. This was the only way to make a foundation for Jungle to become a entity for itself in California.
He has performed with the best of the best talent Nationally and Internationally, with the likes of Dr S Gaghet, Micky Finn, LTJ Bukem & Conrad, Darren Jay, Randall, GQ, 2Bad Mice, Dara, Marvelous Caine, MC Five Alive, DJ 3D, Phantom45, Danny The Wildchild, RAW, CRS?, Swissman, E’sassin etc etc.
He has performed from San Diego all the way to Pittsbugh, PA, From Las Vegas to Kansas City and in between since 1997. He has performed at nearly all the early original LA Jungle sessions such as Club Science, Respect, Club Jungle, Digital Bomberz, Warlocks, N20 Sessions, Wrek-Ignitions, Introspect and of course The Heavy Sound Seminars since its inception.
He has also appeared in Lotus, BPM, Survive and URB magazines (Urbs NEXT100, 98 as one of the pioneers of the LA scene) He also writes for the online magazine www.SICKBOYproductions.com and can be found pushing the BULLETPROOF Sessions sound, wide n far.
Catch him at any Bulletproof Session, or the Wrek-Ignition 9 Year Anniversary + Club Deep in March for his b'day bash, or performing on a jazzy tip at San Diegos newest DnB night, Club Liquid in April.
