I know the Canon has a lil more angle on it.
And i might want that if my budget allows. |

there is more than just the wideness to thing about, canon's lenses have special glass elements that correct the distortion around the edges.
i only shoot canon glass and only L series stuff.
it's totally worth the money.

Re: anyone using the Canon 10-22mm or the sigma 10-20mm???
Ive researched them both for the past 3-4 months.
The following link is a great way to get first hand thoughts/opinions/samples on the exact lens u want.

Ive heard that the sigma has a weird thing about how the glare of the sun hits it.
Check it out.
But ive seen that lens do amazing things!!!
So im still on the fence.
Im sure the canon is nothing short of exceptional. |

I have a Sigma. they'll set you back bout $400. but well worth it.
the only thing I do not like about it is its the lowest aperture 4.5. but shooting in regular daylight the pictures come out great.
that picture up above ..thats what you get from not using a hood and taking pictures OF THE SUN |

Re: anyone using the Canon 10-22mm or the sigma 10-20mm???
no that's not true, that's certainly an issue with the sigma lens.
i'm a firm believer in the old addage: "you get what you pay for"
sigma lenses are cheap for a reason, and it's not because they aren't made by canon. canon glass just looks better. L series glass looks even better than non-L glass. f/2.8 is the way to go. All my current lenses are f/2.8, except for my 85mm f/1.2 and my TS-E which is f/3.5... but that's as fast as they come for the tilt-shift.
