I'm sitting here desperately rummaging through old photobucket accounts looking for the funniest pic of mr zezo one for the "seperated at birth" thread

and it dawned on me how much I miss Samurai Sundaze...

even at the nacional it was sick wif it. i guess its a decent trade off for pure filth but still man i have to give it up to samurai, that was a solid dope night with a butt load of talent going thru

i definitely miss Tokio Bar (samurai sundaze). 5 dollar sake bottles. smokin in the back lounge. quality talent with a dope system. great homies. great memories.

I MISS MAGIC WEDNESDAYS...USED TO HAVE A GREAT TIME HAULIN ASS UP THE 5 TO MAKE ALMOST EVERY WED FOR A LONG TIME..I THINK THAT PLACE REALLY HELPED SPARK MY DJ "CAREER" IF U COULD CALL IT THAT...THAT WEIRD GUY JASON THAT WAS THE PROMOTER REALLY GAVE ME A CHANCE BOOKING ME FOR IT...GOOD OLE DAYS..PLAYIN W/ DJ W,DEACON DJ DEK FROM HEADSTONE SOUND...YEA..GOOD TIMES!

I miss family groove@the old shark club.

I miss sketch club@the old gotham hall

I miss friday night insomnaic parties at the old world on wheels

I miss listening to underground dance music on the radio all weekend long.

I miss going out to the grand olympic auditorium for shows inside and outside in the parking lot.

I miss the days when you could go to the bowling alley in torrance or whatever the hell it was and the headliners were crs w/ raw and the rest like axis worklabs and so on...

I miss going to midnight bombers and seeing dj's such as 3d and snuggles

I miss a lot of stuff...

Respect: At the LARCHMONT! Hello People!!! That was among the best venues ever. Glad we still have Respect at Jimmys, but I do miss the Larchmont.

Databass: Fais Do Do, for me the Klute Show, and a couple others, pure madness.

Substance: The Knitting Factory, Tantra Lounge, etc.

Freebass Fridays: At that sushi? restaurant when Gzuz worked at the bar... wowzers...

Science: At the Pink, with Raymond Roker and Jun ?? as residents...

there is more that I can't think of, I will have to come back to this topic... oh yeah, I'm too lazy to look for pics.

I believe that was Russell's Seafood Palace. I think it's Moon Palace now, but im not sure.

Regardless, I would just like to take a minute to thank GZUZ for bartending and the many many delicious whiskey n cokes you hooked up for me. Freebass Friday's were some crazy days.

by far for me, THE RAPTURE in SD!!! No event ever will make or break me, i say, but this one i must confess did "break" me and Steve was the first promoter to take a chance on me, promote me to other promoters and stuck up for me in situations + he helped fund some of me and Jayon's CDs. Large ups to Steve man, i owe this dood so much!!!

Angies Urban Jungle... Location right off the 405 in west LA. First time I saw a drum n bass room with people like raw and 119 spinning and upstairs they had a hip hop room with big ass dread heads smoking big ass blunts.
