just one irrelevant question....
when did pictures become known as "flicks/flix?" when I was growing up, "flicks/flix" were always referred to as the slang for "movies/films." |

it was a cold morning i was holding my camera tightly to my chest pointing it over the hill i was standing on for hours just watching the dark sky when i took a shot and it made this "flix" sound .and I thought to myself "yeah this is gonna be a badass flix!"

It refers to film in the theatre because of the flciker from the film projector where the room is without picture for roughly half the time. Your eye connects the images and you don't notice the flicker. Flicks=moives. Flix is slang. Slang changes everday. For instance from now on I will call DJs, discilians. Slang never has to make sense. Just check the first few Wu-Tang projects.
