*by the way, that first picture up top, the junior boys own record is the one and only original Black Science Orchestra "jersey Deep" that I found there for 2 bux!! FIND!

ive spent lots of time in that store. they have an amazing collection of all genres of music. their disco collection is bar none, records so rare that omg.... you wouldn't even believe. the dance music section is pretty big, but the people who work there dont know too much about the different genres so the general dance section is pretty jumbled, but ya, there are gems there. its an amazing store. ive never seen more vinyl in one place anywhere.
so if you are ever in kansas city, pay them a visit!

reminds me of an AWESOME record store in Pittsburgh, PA called Jerry's.
It looks just like that and I believe there's an equally as large adjoining room with just as many records. all like 4 bucks 5 bucks max |

Such a beautiful site. Remember kids, back when I was young, all we had was vinyl -- and some of the stores, oh my! I'm sure none of them could rival this one though. But I do so long for the days of going to Chicago to Wax Trax. *le sigh* |

btw I bought that original "New Jersey Deep" when it dropped - everyone was running around crazy trying to id it and track copies down - pre-web vinyl shopping days,bla blah....
-bought a bootleg re-issue 2 yrs ago (loft classics-navy blue sticker - forgot vol. #)
on the "Loft Classics" series - crazy disco gem B S Orch brilliantly borrowed from. |
