Vestax's new 'gimmick'.....
Vestax STC-V1
The VESTAX STC-V1 STAGE CONTROLLER operates in many ways identical to that of a normal turntable, combining the technology behind the successful VESTAX CDX-05 and TASCAM TT-M1.
With a VESTAX PCV FADER the dj is able to cut, scratch and cue just like usual but without a skipped beat because it's entirely digital!
Features:
CDX-05 movement and technology.
TT-M1 motion for analogue tracking ability for digital music.
PCV fader, for longevity, quality number one fader.
3 cue points similar to the CDX-05.
Sampling system, full record and loop functions.
Flanger effects.
Pitch Bend knob allowing full control of your speed in sound.
Start/Stop switch.
33/45 switch
10" vinyl platter
The STC-V1 is a prototype & will probably never be available for sale. Vestax is well known for being at the forefront of cutting edge experimental designs, and produces many unique products that may or may not ever make it to market.

Coolest Dj Photo Ever!

Maybe, if we try really hard, we can look just like we are playing guitars!
Then, and only then, can we bask in the mainstream acceptance of hillbillies, country folk, white trash, emo kids, grunge rockers, and jersey dudes everywhere!
I'm counting down the day... |

According to http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000257039930 ...
the way the needle is positioned, if you wanted to scratch anything at all on this, you would have to have your hand in front of your stomach which would just look like you had a stomach ache and were ready to hurl on someone. i'd much rather see the needle in the upper-left portion so the whole bottom half was free to work with.
"The flames on the strap means it's HOT"
"Give it up for DJ Scratch'n'Sniff"
"I just don't get why I can't pick up chicks!
"... dudes, on the down low. This switch opens up and you can totally store your weed in it."
For the weirdo-guy who has to have everything no-body would ever be envious of... comes this guy and his mix-o-guitaro.
"Hello, my name is mark, and by the way im holding this, im obviously from the marketing department"
"Man, I am tired of sitting behind the band"
"Dude, this thing thrashes a lot harder than it looks, the only trick is freeing my ponytail from the needle when I headbang during a show."
"No Dad you still can't join the band."
Thirty Five years of playing guitar
Countless bands, sessions and shows
Twelve world tours
Ten albums, five credited
...
And THIS is what I'll be remembered for!
Somebody call Ted Nugent's wife- he got out again, and jacked some of DJ Grandmaster Flash's equipment.

Re: Coolest Dj Photo Ever!
I cant remember the name of the guy (not the one in the picture) but someone else made something that looked very similar to that. I saw it on a documentary on showtime, but this guy made it just for his own personal amusement with a little integration into his live soundscape performances. But I think theres a major difference between making one and using it in a live art display and actually paying for one. How much could they even possibly want for that thing? and what kind of control functions does it have anyway? I also cant help but wonder what the torque is like and that thing. Too many quuestions about something I would never use anyways. Its just another eye catcher, Im sure buying one 1200 and a good mixer would put me in a better position than owning one of those. Sorry for ranting, jus my piece on it. |

Alot of people don't earn thier money the hard way,.....hence buying crap that they really don't and wont use?
Let's all think of some other stuff we could use that thing for.....I'm sure you could it as a planter,...or load a bunch of different fart noises into it.. |
