WHIZARD: IMPERIAL DUB: 1.23.05: LINK INSIDE

I will have hard copies with me for the next month or so, so hit me up if you want hard copy, and I will make sure you get one.
Dub is the word for this one. An entire set of dub influenced drum n' bass with touches of dancehall and ragga. Lots of horns, reverb, dubby basslines, and spaced out dub vocals. It starts off a little more on the liquid side of the spectrum, and as my signature style, runs its way to the dancefloor, closing with a crowd favorite marked by an infectious hook.
Listen for two dubplates in this mix, one from Clutch and Sense [Dubsick], and the other from the Junglist Platoon [Dem No Like We]. Look for 'Dubsick' to be forthcoming on the Los Angeles based ragga imprint Rid'em Records run by Oscar da Grouch.
These are the tracks that have really been grabbing my attention in the last several months, and I hope to collect enough of them for a volume two in the near future. Take a listen, let me know what you think of this sound.

track selection is great. mixing is quite smoo've.

Yeah, rescued a copy of this mix from the Muse floor, and got another one anyways. Been burning it for all my friends and survey says......dubbed out dopeness. |

Phear just gave me a DVD with footage from my performance at MUSE 41, which my set was very similar to (and based on) the Imperial Dub mix, it is complete with visuals by Baby Siddha (name?), and is absolutely sick! I'll put up the link as soon as I get the file converted and uploaded! |
