When they finally did, they put us along with Marvellous Cain in a small dingy chill out room???
Oh yeah, and then Global Moneyworld would shyst out on the cash (famous move) as they had no respect for Jungle or artists.

This one didn't actually happen...if I remember correctly. The real one got shut down before it started, so it got moved to the desert east of SD...I remember that Marvelous cain room at the Ski Resort. Huge stage on the side where Raymond Roker played DnB... |

Hi - Branden from Global Underworld Network or as you called "Global Moneyworld Network" here.. responding a few years late to this message.
First of all we (G.U.N) were one of the first promotion companies in the U.S to have an event that was almost all JUNGLE (Wild Kingdom).
We took pride in offering as many positive forms of music as possible at all of our events from Hip Hop, Rock, Jungle and House.
Second of all I would like to clear up any B.S about how much money we supposedly made.
Everyone has this delusion that we were zillionaires.
This is very untrue.
We lost hundreds of thousands of dollars fostering and growing a scene from scratch while others whom we promoted became rich.
Which is fine. I'm truly happy for them.
But, to sit here and watch people take pop shots without truly knowing us..I cant do.
Last , as far as not paying anyone.
Everyone was always paid.
Sure, alot of artists volunteered to perform for free since it was the biggest event in the country.
Those same artist and the ones that supposedly weren't paid were the first to flaunt that they had played a Narnia event.
If anyone didnt get paid or fell through the cracks by accident. Hit me up on here.
I will honor all valid debt and my word.
And to say we didnt appreciate artist is complete bulls**t. I am an artist, I paint and record music. Nik is also an artist he draws, paints and is recording music as we speak.
We appreciate all art and artists
And one more thing.. yes we were shut down a few times.
Trust us, not our plan at all.
This was called THE UNDERGROUND for a reason.
These events at the time were highly illegal.
When you have ALL AGES dancing ALL HOURS of the night, its very hard to find a place to accomodate.
When our biggest Narnia party was shut down, and ticket refunds were impossible (due to the logistics of the way we sold tickets back then and the amount of comp tickets we gave away) We allowed each ticket holder to not only get into one future event for free..but since those tickets were three part tickets we allowed each person to go to THREE events for the price of their single ticket.
A decision that ultimatley lead to losing 100's of thousands more..
but one we felt necessary to keep our word to our fans, friends, family in the RAVE community.
We've been in the scene since 1988, we started GLOBAL UNDERWORL NETWORK in 1990..and are considered one of the founding fathers behind a very small scene at the time.
We threw the first RAVE ever in MEXICO..our first parties back in 1988 before GUN were a few hundred people..we went on to do 40,000 plus people some of the largest raves ever in the states.
We are proud of that. We are proud of $50 in kinkos copies in 1988. hardwork, love of what we were doing and a dream started it all.
Each time we would make money we would put it back to help grow the scene that you ALL enjoyed.
When we lost, we paid all of our debts.
We tried our best.
If you want to talk s**t, its all good.
I support free speech.
But I doubt you really know us.
Cause if you really did you wouldnt say anything negative.
Our hearts have always been pure, and not motivated by greed.
But motivated by a love of music and a love of art and community. PEACE

there were several narnia parties...reservations were involved in some, ski resorts, outer space...=P
yeah there wre a few on reservations

It's Branden from Global Underworld... YES we did throw the FIRST LILIPUT parties! We also threw the first OPIUM parties before those too were bit by a promoter in L.A. And everytime you see a chick with a fairy tattoo.. i will bet you that can trace its roots back to the original Narnia flyer way before Fairies were poplular. PEACE |

I think thats where I saw people such as Marvelous Cain and Supa DJ Dmitry all in the same night.
Those were really exciting and fun
times. Its too bad you guys arent still around. Much respect and props.
Hey were you the guy that would get up in the jump suit and start mc'ing?? Cuzz I can remember clearly that was the first time I ever saw an MC at rave throwing out postive vibes. Back around 95 or 96 at Grand Olympic Auditorium???

i remember afrika islam played some liquid sky/soul slinger tune , and orbital "are we here"...and at some point nick screaming something or another on the mic about peace and love or something along those lines...there needed to be a limiter on the mic!!!

Wasen't that party thrown in North San diego, at a boy scout camping ground. There was a church on top of the hill.
When morning came, we headed out and there were so many cars that were stuck in sand from all the bass bins. |

yea i had a frikkin blast that night-the traffic was so bad none of the dnb djs made it in and i ended up playing from like 1130 to like 230 am-finally i think hive made it in-great fukn time-yea eek was billed on the flyer but the promoter did not confirm his booking with me or his agent-i heard that they finally spoke to his mngr the day or 2 b4 the event and they wouldve had to fly him out from out east that day-they couldnt do it-no biggie though- i actually only had 1 single person come up to me all night and ask where eek was-...that was an awesome fukn party-thanks to gun for that one! |

Thank you so much for the fantastice parties from back-in-the-day, especially the first two Narnia's. I am from the desert (Imperial Valley) and threw a few parties out there myself. You guys actually came to a couple of them! Any chance you might still have a flyer you could send me from the first and/or second Narnia events? Thanks again guys!

yo uncut, we totally off roaded it and got to the party way before all my friends so I was with you from 1130-2:30 and threw hive set... mc buck shot and mc iceman were holding it down... I totally flipped my wig at that show... s**t was classic.. I was pissed eek never showed but I still had a blast... |
