Newbie Photoshop Help!
Yo!
I'm in the process of teaching myself photoshop and I need to know what method/tool(s) I should use for cutting a shape out of an image?? Example: Making a star out of a picture or image...
I hope this is clear enough for someone to give me an answer!

heres a quick easy way.
create a second layer, draw your star on that new layer.
using the magic wand tool, select the star.
then click back to your original photo layer...
click
copy
then
paste
you will now have a star shapped photo on its own layer, just delete the background.

either that or draw the star by hand with the magnetic lasso tool and just copy and paste it. |
