show me your tattoo...DE PLANE!
Some of the worlds best examples of good and bad design are permanently affixed to peoples bodies. I myself dont have any, always had this idea that I would draw my own, but my ideal styles change faster than my underwear (ew).
show us your ink, good and bad.
tell us who you trust, who your ideal artist is, why you got it, what it means...
...and anything else related to permanent art. |

I don't have a picture of my tattoo but I held on to the "idea" of my work since i was 19/20... modified along the way. 12 years later meet an tattoo artist that I was not only impressed w/ but felt comfortable. And the idea still resonated in me so I got it.. |

mike giant is an amazing artist as well, I grew up in New mexico looking at this guy dominate the street game, and now his art has become a commercial success as well.
love the black and white work. giant draws in grayscale cause hes color blind, which makes me wonder why all the tats i see on his site have color...who asks mike giant to colorize his drawing????

Weird this is the only pic i could find of both of them..
These have to do with my grandfather and his Rose garden he use to have. Every time I would
come over he would tell me "come outside come outside" I gotta show you something.
Also I think roses are very romantic and that's what I am at heart.. Plus there RED
and I am obsessed with that color. One on each shoulder represents balance and the style is
traditional style because I think I have a traditional 1950's body.
Its a heart on my left sleeve and the stitching is ribbon that wraps around to above the back
of my elbow and ties ina lil bow.
Kinda explains itself I like to stick to simple and traditional

I love blazes, but im bias because my girlfriend has similar ink. the styles are really different tho, shows how each artist has their own flavors.

alright here goes...first one:
started in late 02, finished in early 03. done by my boy jason in a trailer park in newhall (he actually is an accomplished tattoo artist, he was just in from vegas and working from a friends pad). a dragon because i was always in to the knights and dragon tales as a kid, and the symbolism of them being protectors and such. this is all black, no color. (like all of my current work for now).
(foot on the right), both feet have star outlines on them done at outerlimits tattoo in garden grove by tiffany...unfinished because well....get your feet tattooed. ouch.
stars because my head isn't in the clouds, the stars are at my feet, and i can achieve anything.
rude and reckless across the chest. basically after a not so great event in life, it lead me back to one of my favorite songs, which was as relevant when i first heard it at age 12 as it is to me today, probably more so today.
(also done by jason, this time in a shop at studio city tattoo)
so thats it. no color yet. some ambitious plans, trying to find an artist actually to do a few things before i leave ca...so if anyone has any recommendations....

my most recent, the colors in this work well..
a little older
Those two will eventually run into eachother and create a half sleeve under my elbow.. kinda like a band of sorts
I go to Saints and Sinners in Garden Grove..Albert is my dude. his color work is TOP notch, but hes good at everything..

heres an interview with mike giant that kinda adresses his retirement from tattoos. I wasnt even aware of that bnj, that sucks...always thought that if i were to get ink it would have to be by mike giant.
