proper halftone
been messing around in pshop a bit, but just can't seem to get a proper halftone effect going.
this isn't the best sample to show as what I'm referring to, but it's what I had handy:
if you look close, you'll see that her face is made up entirely of halftone dots, but not just your typical photoshop plugin halftone wackness that basically fills your selected area with dots. these dots actually make up the shading by appropriating the area with different sized dots- the smaller the dot, the more you can fill in an area and make it look darker. the larger the dot, the more space you can give between it and lessen the shading.
am I explaining myself well enough here? hopefully so, and hopefully you have some tips to share.....or I'll steal your shoe.
