Where do you get your images from?

Where do you guys get some of your graphics from. I find my self buying a ton of photos from those stock photo sites anyone got any any good links to good images?

lucky basterd I really need to get a camera. get really tired of searching for like 3 hrs in istock for one photo.

Here is a site I found that will search many web search engines for images. Obviously there not going to have really high quality, and copyright law's still do apply. But I use it for reference, because how many times have you been creating something (gun, house, butterfly, ocean, steal, city, whatever) and you just need to see a couple of different styles to get the creative juices flowing.

i dont really use photos in my stuff, but when i do its crap i shoot using a borrowed camera, or stuff scanned from really obscure books/mags. having said that within the last couple of months ive accumulated a very weird collection of printed articles : |

well same could be said for breaks/samples in tunes. you really gotta mangle mangle mangle. the few things ive printed for bigger/more in the public stuff though, i make sure to not use anything copywrited.

i try to shoot everything myself.

if i can't, i'd rather draw it before i use stock photo as a last resort.

stock photos are rehashed and overused... take your own. We live in the digital age and even a crappy digi cam doesnt cost all that much.

having a camera does help, sometimes you need the custom shot from your own view.

but, there are just some shots you can't quite get due to limitations of location, equipment, etc. I use a mixture of my own shots and a lot of stock, and I have no shame saying so.

I have a camera too, but I recognize that as much as I like shooting I sometimes do not have the skills to get something I like enough to use it, so..

when I do need textures for renders I use a lof of these, they are free and usefull

i try shooting whatever i need, but yeah sometimes i just dont have the funds to rent a ferarri and pay the models in donkey ass .... then its google, yahoo and a couple of free sites i keep up my sleeve.

donkey ass? i didnt know c0c@ine was a no no word...nobody warned me about a filter.... we all know models dont accept donkey ass anymore
