Resume?

What does your resume look like?
Do you send a PDF or bring a black book with your prints when you go for an interview.

I've seen some spiffy resumes and am looking to spiffy mine up, lets see yours!

Ok, so I'm going to be making a PDF doc in InDesign of 5 of my best samples and my resume.

Any other tips? I know not to make it super graphic intense and let the work speak for itself. Anything else?

people who hire graphic designers tend to really suck at opening pdfs, have a website ready for them to skim through for just in case ness ?

Yah, gonna pretty much have a one page scroll down type thing showcasing the best work only, then a link to ALL of it if they want more.

I have a standard issue resume I use, since that's how most people are identified and processed through the average HR department. Once I'm actually in the door for an interview, I walk the interviewer through a variety of projects either directly from a CD or online.

However, most of the time I'm approached by people who already know they want to work with me, so there's no real resume submission or interview process.

your a designer - it shouldnt matter where you went to school or what places you worked at - it should be more about "Lets see your work" - and in motion, its mostly that
