so bored of everything!
geeeeez stupid inspiration for being fleeting occasionally.
so people who actually open this thread
weird personal question.
a couple of years ago, i did this t shirt graphic that i eventually sold to my good friends (basically family) who run GCS (the globe). you might have seen it floating about here and there, but this is it:
ive been wanting to get another tattoo for a while. i have a few, but theyre all easily concealed, and are ALL on my right side.
i always told myself anything on my left has to be something somewhat special.
originally i was going to try to have jun matsui (whos artwork i super jock) do a rooster in his style going up my entire left arm. it would be really cool concidering i REALLY like his artwork, and i kind of have this thing for roosters (not int hat way, pervs).
i thought about it, and i dont know about giving another artist my entire arm.
so
i was thinking of getting my graphic, .. which is still being sold (theyve sold close to 30k of the f**kers...) on my left arm, since that is probably the most noticable graphic ive made. alot of random people have talked to me over it, and its always been really kind of a "calling card" with t-shirt/screen print types.
so,..
1) is getting your own work on you crass?
2) would you let anyone (capable tattoo artist of course) do it?
3)how much would you alter it? |

i wouldnt get a tattoo unless i designed it myself considering i'm an artist.

i redid that shirt! i came out alot better now, ill throw flicks up soon!
i want an arm peice though ; (
ok so im not a weirdo for thinking its odd to get my own artwork on me...
oh its part of a 3 series,.. ill put those up soon too..

Both my arms are sleeved and about 50% of them are my own artwork and the other 50% is my artists own choosing.
Nothing wrong with getting your own art on your body. It is after all, your body. |
