New Dubstep website : dubstp.com
So I've created a new website:
http://dubstp.com
it will be a resource for US and especially LA dubstep djs, producers, mcs, events, etc. for now it will just point to js... but soon when i do the whole upgrade thing it will have its own forums / calendar / dj profiles / producer profiles etc..

it will use my software and have more features similar to junglescene like calendar etc. it will also be more than just a forum. |

competition is always good, unless of course supply outnumbers demand.
Eek has proved to us with junglescene that he is here to provide a non hostile place for people with common interests. and this is just a progressive step in that direction. Also it seems to be a ringing endorsment for the dubstep community since we didnt see dave making any impulsive 2stepscene.com and garagescene.com sites. |

oh and as for dubstepforum... it's a great resource and they have tons of posts in their forum, but i totally detest phpBB. that had nothing to do with me creating this site though. i just want to help support dubstep in LA and the US. |

garrige.com was a total failure for a number of reasons, mostly because nobody in LA really got in to 2step or garage... dubstep is totally different. there are already 2 dubstep scenes in LA.... i want to see them merge... pure filth has started that process... |

from what i've heard the burners brought out the first big dubstep acts to LA... and in the last 6 months dnb folks have picked up on it. although there is certainly crossover between those two scenes i consider them separate. |

pure filth has kinda given people a place to go on the regular but i've seen a lot of the same core heads at shows smog and tim staypuft has done for the last 11 months. i wouldnt say that it's 2 scenes coming together but the growth spurt of a scene that has been slowly cultivating the last 11 months or so.
besides, the burners will claim they invented civilization if you got them on the right night.
all good though. lemme know what kinda help you need. |

nevermind...totally misread everything and thought there was a suggestion of there being an issues between Filth and Smog fams. Sorry bout that...erased the rest of the post. hes talking about the purists like our selves, and the burning man crowd kinda doin their own dubstep thing
and nothing to the burners - I only see a couple make it out to our shows. the majority of them choose to stay in their little burning man camps. i even post the events on tribe - but not sure if it does anything.

yeah i'm most certainly not talking about how there are two clubs that are going off ... filth and smog are part of the same scene... i was talking about the burning man folks. i really don't have a problem with them... to me they liven up the place. |

you got a lot of people dedicating alot of time to the sound of dubstep, I think they are just very particular about how its represented and presented to newcomers.
I have always reciprocated your efforts with the drum n bass community, and with the core of the los angeles dubstep community being dnb heads, I think you can make an impact just the same if not more so with it being its in the infant stages. |
