Dubstepforum has been closed indefinitely
People have nowhere to go online now. It's as if we're all careening blindly through the dark night. Could this be the best thing thats happened for Dubstep, the music, yet? no longer feeding off eachothers creative impulses. all thats left is ourselves, and an empty sequencer... how liberating.
I look forward to what the future may bring. Your thoughts? |

the only real highlight of the production forum for me was festa's sample pack contests, and, of course, TUNE FIIIIIIGHT!!!
but yeah, i think this is a godsend. only because i couldn't bring myself to tear away from the forum on my own :P |

IT'S HAPPENING FOLKS AND THE SHUT DOWN OF THIS(DUBSTEPFORUM) SITE IS JUST THE START OF WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE REST OF THE MUSIC.even though there is a new site.

DUBSTEP HAS BROKEN SURFACE and soon you will see a VW COMMERCIAL
with DUBSTEP MUSIC....or most of all VIDEO GAMES.
I mean how long has DNB been in video games?(racing games,etc.)
DUBSTEP music is still fantastic...BUT I HOPE THIS DOESN'T START THE WATERING DOWN PROCESS.

TIME TO GO EVEN DEEPER INTO THE ABYSS!

many sites are competing for post-DSF traffic right now. thedubstepforum.com seems hopeful, as does getdarker.com. trying to stay away from these sites. like i said earlier though, i feel like i can breathe again  |

Most of the moderators were getting tired of all of the nonsense threads being posted on the board. A lot of those guys started dusbtepforum as a place to talk progressively about the music. It got out of hand, most of the core people that were posting there had lost interest.
Personally, Im surprised to see its gone - but at the same time not surprised at all. Kind of a bummer, but it is not a reflection of the heath of the scene.
When dubstepforum went down for a few days last year, a lot of new sites popped up - dub-us.com is a decent one
Also, Dopelabs from dubstep.fm has already started thedubstepforum.com
Its a new era for dubstep on the internet - I dont think there will be any shortage of alternatives |
