Reasons Why Karate Kid is the most hilarious movie ever as i get older and watch it
1) Why does every ref have a stash like they are a 1980s CHP officer. And all they say is "heit" (which is a combo of them saying "point" and "hiy" really fast under their stash.
2) The theme song...as so eloquently made fun of on South Park..."you're the best...aroooooooooooound" was pretty awesome. I wish a dnb song broke down into it. If i were a baseball player this would blare everytime i walked up to bat (and i would point to the fences)
3) Funny how when i was young i thought the tournament was for World Supremacy...but as i got older and got a car and drove a lot, i realized that it was only for Valley Championship. Younger i was like 'damn this is for the world championships' this is so exciting...older i am like 'damn he won the Thousand Oaks finals...whooopty doooo".
4) Broke all movie laws by having a kid from Jersy (BRICK FUKKIN' CITY) get his ass beat by valley boys (in skeleton outfits mind u in that one scene)...isn't it the other way around in movies mostly???
5) Tell me u didn't practice the Butterly Kick when u were younger. Of course upon further inspection of the film, Johnny decided to block Danny's foot with his face by running into it...totally avoidable.
6) The only black Cobra Kai member got taken out too quick for my liking, ha. I was like "fool u need to practice ur art"
7) Miyagi vs Steven Segal = Black Belts in their "wonder years" matchup.

i was the karate kid for halloween one year. i made nunchucks out of 2 wire coat hangers w/ the cardboard tubes...ya know the oldskool jooints ya get at dept stores like jc pennys? just tie the 2 tubes together w/ string and blammo! |
