I started going to St. Monica's a while back. I've actually seen a few dnb peeps there, not that they would admit it. My friends think I'm a hypocrite nutjob but, regardless of your beliefs, there's something to taking yourself out of your life long enough to reflect that's good for the soul ... even if only for an hour every other month haha  . I am not trying to start anything, just stating my opinion...But actually it's not church...it is temple....and i do have a strong sense of my ethics and will be proud to say that i am Jewish on a message board. I don't really care who knows or what they think. I don't think anyone should care, it is your heritage and part of who u r. I was born and raised Jewish and it is apart of who i am.
I actually haven't been to temple in a really long time but my temple is in orange county. Temple Bat Yahm is awesome!! Big ups eecue for posting!!! |

fully agree.there is a lot of religions that "ask" you to "donate" $$$. i find that to be really bizarre. i think the G man would just want you to put a roof over you head, food in your mouth and live a respectful life. i really dont think he would want you to build a gold encrusted shrine for him. i respect god and respect mother nature(she can be a little wild!)
But I also do understand that religions are apart of cultures and that some people need or like an organized sect. So therefore I respect that to.

you can always go to temple for free. but temples (and churches) cost money to build and maintain and to pay the employees and rabbis.
if you want to join it's optional, but it was something i wanted to do.

yeah i like to go to church's and temples, i cant commit to the religion but i definitely like to go every once in awhile. i like to think of earth as one big church or temple! |

I respect culture and relegion in that context... cńearly people in certain countries can not escpae the relegious influence.. but as americans... well it ainŽt for me..
but I have rolled to many temples of many relegions and find the experience very interesting overall.
its just not my cup of tea. |
